Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Wrong link. Fixed it now.
My various fanfics.Ah, okay. Yes, he definitely looks the part.
Oh God! Natural light!Eh, I don't see Chadwick Boseman as being regal-looking enough to play Black Panther. Could be that picture and me not being familiar enough with the guy.
Haven't seen him act, so I couldn't tell you (or maybe I have and I just didn't know it was him).
He might be able to pull it off, though.
Oh God! Natural light!Accident my ass. You were obviously calling Charlize Theron a bitch.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I'm confused by why Jean and Scott are on that list but I like the others. Luke Cage in particular is a perfect choice. I wonder who they could cast as Kamala. I don't really know any Middle Eastern actresses.
After seeing Boseman in Get On Up, I think he could do it. He's seriously good at disappearing into roles.
They oughta cast a white girl as Kamala, just to troll people.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I haven't seen enough of Charlie Hunnam to be sure he has the emotive range for Danny Rand. I agree with most of that list, though.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHow comfortable is Theron with packing on some muscle and playing a soldier? Looking at her IMDB page, I haven't seen much with her in it, but she does have a good number of action movies - however, being in an action movie and being Bruce Willis from Die Hard are two separate things, and Carol Danvers is very much a Bruce Willis figure.
I think Michelle Rodriguez would be amazing for the part, even if she doesn't have a perfect photo-resemblance of Carol's face.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Now, at the risk of being beaten with shoes: who could play Sentry?
My various fanfics.I'd rather Emily Blunt play Carol Danvers. She's at least played a soldier before.
I dunno, I kinda like it.
Introduce him in Avengers 4 when a new team is being pulled together after recovering from fighting Thanos. He's genial, he's friendly, he's super powerful. He's a hero. Include a "ding" noise when he smiles, all that jazz.
Sentry movie: Start implying that something about Sentry is a little...off. Don't have him go crazy-town banana pants, but let the audience know, in a small way, that not everything is okay in Sentry's brain.
Avengers 5: In the final fight (With Galactus, 'cause Fox is probably gonna give up on that franchise to focus on X-Men), imply a little bit more that Sentry isn't all there.
Avengers 6: Sentry goes bananas.
My various fanfics.Yeah, I'm going to echo the sentiment that Sentry is unnecessary. Looking back, when all is said and done, he didn't contribute a whole lot to the story.
EDIT: Also, as a general rule, Marvel should avoid introducing a Superman expy into their movies, because that will be the moment when they Jumped the Shark.
AVERAGE MOVIEGOER: Wow, really? Marvel Superman? I guess they ran out of ideas.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.The Sentry isn't a strong enough character to support a giant movie arc. He hardly could support one movie alone. Ignore him, its for the best.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.com"Hahaha, minority actresses already have a hard time finding work in Hollywood and there are little to no positive depictions of Muslims! Let's add to that! PWNED!"
Seriously, what's the thought process there?

Yes, this is a terrible idea.
Oh God! Natural light!Marvel says they're looking to do the exact opposite of the Daredevil movie with the TV show.
Sadly I think this means no Bring Me To Life or My Immortal.
I'm sorry, what?
Oh God! Natural light! The original Daredevil movie had a soundtrack by Evanescence.
Oh, ok.
See, my first thoughts when I hear the words "My Immortal" are of...well...
Oh God! Natural light!Ebony Darkness Dementia Way confirmed for Avengers 3 villain.
Dogs?
Oh God! Natural light!
