Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

As much as I'd like it if Fury and Vision had posters they probably won't do that. They'd probably try and keep the Vision's Heel–Face Turn a surprise.
edit: I guess they could have two posters on the far side that have Ultron and Vision watching as the Avengers try to fight off their army.

Have two posters to the let of Tony which is Nick Fury and Baron Von Stucker having a knife fight, Vision above them not fighting, but instead phasing through the bunch of Ultron-bots being flung at him in Quick Silver's wake as he crowd runs. Have Falcon above Tony, and to the right have Ultron smashing Hulk in the face with War Machine on the ground at his feet firing up at him.
Seven by two poster.

That would work although I doubt they'd include Strucker in this kind of poster. It would still look awesome though.
edit: So they seem to be releasing two posters a day. Comic Con lasts five days, July 23rd-27th. Based on that I'm assuming the final image will be 5x2 and will include all ten of the Avengers.

So, yes to Nick Fury and Vision, but no to Falcon and War Machine?
Fine by me, Falcon and War Machine are probably going to be cameos in the film proper at most, I would love a kick ass 7 by 2 poster with them on though
I was thinking the opposite. They'll have posters for them but not Fury and Vision. The former probably won't actually fight the Ultrons and the latter is probably going to be kept a secret.
Fair enough.
In other news, ANOTHER film date has been anounced. May fourth 2018.
Current slate in total is 2015: May: Avengers 2 November: Ant Man 2016: May: Cap 3 July: Unannounced (Asumed to be Doctor Strange) 2017: May film, July film, November film 2018: May film, July film, November film 2019 May film.
May 2018 was my original guess for the Avengers 3 date, which would gives Phase three seven films, three of which we have only speculation of the nature of (though Thor 3 and Guardians 2 are assumed)
Of course Avengers 3 might be the may 2019 film a year after making phase three be ten films, but eh.
Man, I really hope one of those movies is a Captain Marvel film with Carol Danvers.
I'm guessing 2019 is Avengers 3. I doubt they'd announce Phase Four films before Phase Two is even over.
So is Doctor Strange confirmed to be after Cap 3 or not? Our MCU page says it is but I haven't found anything giving it that specific date.
Doctor Strange is after Ant-Man, I think. Right?

Personally, I'm really hoping the new property of 2017 is Captain Marvel, she's a great character; can tie the gap between The Avengers and Gaurdians and is tied into some important mythology; The Kree.
And the Kree really do need exploring if you're going to have an Inhumans film somewhen.
Assuming Guardians and Thor get phase 3 sequels that fills up now to the end of 2017.
I would really like Vision and the Maximoff Twins to be fleshed out mid Phase three though, they're great characters, and I'm worried after their introduction they might fade into being supporting players.
Also, I'm looking, and I'm yet to see any announcement of Stephen Strange's date slot. That article likely took likely assumptions as fact.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The poster was already posted.
The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, maybe whatsherface. Fury's go-to-gal. I wanna say Carter? Wow I was way off. Maria Hill.
Who's number 4? Pepper?

If Carol is going to be in phase 3 they are going to need to start laying the groundwork for her ASAP. As in the stinger for GOTG involves the Kree losing the Psych Magnetron on earth level ASAP.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsPlease be Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau...
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThe more I think about it, the more I realise they're possibly unlikely to kill Ronan the Acuser, because he's a face for the Kree empire and there's a lot of Kree story telling to be told. In the comics he has stories with Captain Marvel and the Inhumans.
But, then again, he seems to be closer tied to Thanos than the Empire.
@Laying Groundwork for Carol
I still really want it to be cannon that in the 60s Hank was part of a team which included Wonderman and Mar-Vell and they did silver age goodness in the company of Howard Stark. But maybe that's too fan-wanky of me.
Now ready for whatever the GOTG stinger is.
I'm guessing Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Maria Hill, and a new character. Carol Danvers would be a nice way to set up a Captain Marvel.

Fingers crossed for She-Hulk.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatJudging by all the evidence and foreshadowing I've seen so far, it's clear to me that it's gonna be...Lady Stilt-Man!
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)
I feel like Vision is going to be a twist of sorts in the movie, so he's probably not going to be on a composite poster like that.
