Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

They've already used Amazing and Spectacular, but they could still use Sensational Spider-Man, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, etc. There are plenty of titles available.
Hell, there's even a comic outright called The Avenging Spider-Man.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.They could take this golden opportunity to finally officially rename Spider-Man to "Peter Parkour."
"We're home, Chewie.""Spider-Man: Back In Black."
"But we haven't even had him wear the suit for the first time yet?"
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day?"
"The fans would hate us."
"Spider-Man: One More Day?"
"They would kill us in our beds."
"Spider-Man: The First Hunt?"
"Look, make another list before tomorrows meeting."

Superior Spider-Man!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!x5 I really don't think they have to put it in the title. If they put a well-known MCU character in the first trailer and/or drop a reference to a recent event in the MCU (probably Civil War), anyone who cares if it's in the MCU will know that it's in the MCU.
"Web of" might be a nice change.
Why is Spider-Man kicking the asses of Reed Richards and a bunch of guys I don't know? Cause it's awesome.

I really like the stuff about the Scarlet Spider.
They should recast him as a secret agent:
'Spyder-Man'
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.I agree completely. Then, flip his gender and name him Jessica Drew. And then drop the part about Spider-Man.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Are we talking about 616!Spider-Woman or Ultimate!Black Widow◊?
Spider-Man was(after a while)on Cap's side in Civil War. Reed was one of the leaders of Tony's side.
Why can't it be both?
(Man, that reminds me, I really hope Ultimate Jessica Drew survives the Secret Wars reboot stuff...)
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. As much as I was Pro-Reg during Civil War, I did really like that moment. Spidey doesn't get to do enough during Events; it's nice, every now and then, when he gets those chances to remind people why he's Marvel's Flagship Character.
My favorite Major Event Spider-Man moment is still Spidey taking down two of the Pheonix FiveLISTEN simultaneously in Avengers v. X-Men, through wit, intelligence, and stubborn refusal to stay down and/or die.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Not him just punching Norman◊ when everyone else seemed prepared to listen to his crazy ramblings until he got to the point?
No, that moment of awesome goes to Iron Man a few minutes prior for thoroughly defanging what was supposed to be an epic confrontation, when Osborn shows up in his Iron Patriot armor ready to have an ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN with Iron Man, and Stark just goes, "LOLNO" and remotely shuts down the Patriot.
Because it's his goddamn suit.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.No mention of the original Spider-Man crossover moment? When ol Spidey took down the X-Men?
Kinda defanged when Prof X just mindwipes him from a distance.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhat I loved about that fight is how Spider-Man backhanded Wolverine like if he were just a bug. 80's Wolverine almost feels like a completely different character. He was mostly a brawler with claws and a bad attitude. Even his healing factor was not as overpowered.

He didn't have his popularity power back then. He was just one more in the team.
There's an article on here that accurately sums it up as before he was popular, Wolverine's sole contribution to the story was usually making a stupid one liner and then getting beaten down by the villain to hammer home that the X-Men would need teamwork to win.
Well, not always. I believe the Phoenix Saga was before his popularity, but he did have some awesome (and iconic) moments there. I really liked these because it showed Wolverine can be cool without being almost invincible.
If Spider-Man is introduced and well used in ensemble movies first, naming his eventual solo movie Peter Parker: Spider-Man, emphasizing that it focuses on him as a person more, would be pretty neat.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Prof X is a hell of a Story-Breaker Power.

As a title I like "The Spectacular Spider-man" better, because it keeps in theme. But from a marketing point of view, I would certainly put the word "Avengers" somewhere in it, to clarify that the movie belongs to the MCU for the more oblivious audience.
