[up]I hate having to use {{ }} just to make a plural. Just create redirects for singular or plural as needed.

[up] Wrong. That is the complete opposite of wiki standards and unneeded plural redirects are to be cut if they are not irregular plurals.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick

I like Otters Are Playful better.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Sentences constructed around trope names which are nouns are usually better:

e.g.

"Johnny is delighted to find his swimming pool is full of Playful Otters."

"Maxwell is a Playful Otter, and has a great appetite for mischief and fish."

Otters Are Playful isn't nounish.

I'd prefer having the trope name being the singular Playful Otter, since most examples aren't about multiple otters. If other people here agree, I don't think we should worry about being absolutely consistent with what is now clearly the crowner choice.

(Odd that the first link in the post above is blue.)

The singular form is the preferred option, yes. I didn't make it Playful Otters because I demand the name be that or anything, I just wrote it in the plural on accident.

Just confirming that we always go with singular as a matter of policy. I've updated the crowner to reflect that.

Page moved to Playful Otter. Starting to change the wicks (and why did someone have to make Everything's Better With Otters a redirect?)

I should also note that I've been deleting examples of otters that didn't seem to be particularly playful, such as "The Ochy, otter-fae who can remove their skins and take on a more humanoid form" (Valenth). I hope I'm not taking the wrong approach to this.

I'm thinking that's a reasonable approach. Otherwise we're reduced to "any otter" — and there isn't much trope information in that. On the otter hand, this sentence is just an excuse for a bad pun.

I hate you.

Sounds like a good idea.

All the wicks have been changed.

Added details to the Renamed Tropes entry: need to give an idea why it was changed. Added a note to the thread. No discussion to move. Good work folks. Will lock soon.
