I didn't see a thread for this, so let's make one.

Who here has bought any Xbox Indie games? Any you'd recommend for us who's cash is cheap?

I've always been wondering if there's anything good there to buy.

Seriously? That's messed up.

I hear some of them are quite good. There's just not that much to differentiate between trash and gems.

Xbox indie games...that's an awfully specific selection...

I honestly thought it might be a bit too broad, since there's so many of them around.

And that's of a sprite work I did myself a long time ago. Using a Megaman Zero sprite as the base, back in the day when everyone sprited. And it's suppose to be of a certain sword

There's this game called Toy Soldiers: Cold War that I'm looking out for. It's supposed to be an RTS similar to World in Conflict and the Army Men franchise, only with a bigger emphasis on static defenses and the ability to personally control each almost every unit available. Too bad they're not releasing it on Steam, cause I would've bought it in a heartbeat!

If you're talking about the Indie channel (with the $1 games) I'll go ahead and plug Inertia, which was created by classmates of mine at the Guildhall. It's a 2D side-scrolling platformer where the key mechanic is propelling your character through a collapsing space station using the inertia built up in zero-gravity. It also won a ton of awards at the 2011 Indie Games Challenge.

Here's a trailer to give you an idea of the gameplay.

Yes, that is what I'm talking about.

that game does look pretty good, I think I will check it out.

(And I check toy soldiers:CW, it's a Xbox "Arcade" (aka, downloadable game only) game.)
