At this point, World is going to outnumber Park in movie entries
Pivot to Land or California Adventure at this point, geez.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersJurassic Galaxy.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I watch a couple of Jurassic people on youtube and they are finding every possible angle to spin the news into the story going back to the roots of "Jurassic Park".
I don't think that is going to happen. Like it or not, the world trilogy was pretty firm in what the future of the franchise would become.
They are looking at Trevorrow not being mentioned as Universal pivoting the franchise away from his work, but I think that's wishful thinking.
The movie, whatever shape it takes, will take place in the dinosaur populated world they've estavlished
Hopefully they focus on dinosaurs living in the world, like what Dominion really should have focused on.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyHoenstiy I hope they do. I want to see how the world and people react to a new world of dinosaurs.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Most people I think don't have faith in David Koepp though…
A bit early to be announcing a new movie… If they do what I think they're gonna do though, then fantastic.
Depends on the group of people
I personally don't think Koepp is some guarrantee of success. But Im also someone that enjoyed the World trilogy and thought Dominion was a great finale.
Among the older fans that want things to go back to the roots of what made the franchise, Koepp's involvement is a big win.
I imagine older fans that disliked the lost world might be less optimistic (unless they are really hurt about World).
But yeah, this reveal is a whole lot of nothing way too soon.
David Koepp also did Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny… Don't hate either of those movies at all and yet they're both still infamous though.
That said, the first Jurassic Park movie was such a phenomenon thatI can understand the interest in bringing him back. We'll see what we'll see.
Gotta be honest, I am way more excited for Chaos Theory than for the next JW film. There is nothing that the JW franchise could ever give me that is more important than more of these characters. And especially this character specifically.
I cannot, in good conscience, say that she is the best decision that the Jurassic World series ever made. I cannot even say she is the best decision that the show made, because she shares screentime with a black nerd who is the lead protagonist, and also an out-and-proud lesbian couple.
But I can say that she is my character and makes me feel represented like no other JW entry ever has. And I want more content with her in it.
(Also, it's worth noting that the first show, as it exists now, is substantially longer than all of the films combined. An argument could be made that these kids have more claim to JW Main Character status than even Owen and Claire do.)

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Maisie was a base breaker, wasn't she? They're probably introducing all new characters mostly to wipe the slate clean. Wouldn't be surprised if they do certainly.
I still gotta watch the animated show. I'm wondering how it's gonna tie into the movies.
We got a release date AND a possible director!
Universal wants David Leitch to direct the film. He did John Wick, Bullet Train and Deadpool 2, so he knows a thing or two about thriller films.
The movie isn't even written yet, 18 months doesn't seem like a long time to get this done correctly.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyWith David Leitch as Director, they definitely sound like they're going for more of a slam-bang action epic from the sound of it.
You bet Jurass I'm excited! (Sorry not sorry.)
Let's ask the only relevant question: which dinosaurs do you want to see this time? I say bring back the Spino, only make him a newer more accurate model with the tadpole tail.
Also, Yi. And I don't mean the one from Dingo Pictures.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?My hope is that it follows through on the endings of both Fallen Kingdom and Dominion: shows us how the world changes or evolved with dinosaurs free throughout it.
Someone on Twitter speculated that it's going to be a prequel about John Hammond and all the stuff that happened behind the scenes prior to the first movie.
I don't hate the idea, especially if we get a little background on Hammond and Benjamin Lockwood's relationship.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?You know, this isn't really JW so much as the wider Jurassic franchise itself, but, since Alan and Ian are part of the Pantheon, shouldn't Ellie make it there too? The Power Trio would be complete.
I'm interested to see if a darker twist is in the future too. Like I said on the Jaws thread, this found the magic formula for a franchise that Jaws just…certainly didn't.
David Leitch has left the next movie four days after being announced as director.
I didn't think he was a good fit, but it kind of shows how chaotic it is with them trying to rush this movie.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyJust reading that post makes it sound like he only just heard that he'd been assigned as Director and he went "What? No I'm not."
Kaze ni Nare!I'm hearing they can't afford to use new ideas because they're trying to get it out sooner rather than later. That's…not something you want to admit about a movie you're making…
Deadline is reporting Gareth Edwards is in talks to direct the new Jurassic World movie.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. If nothing else, the dinosaurs will feel big.
Rewatching the first (Jurassic World) movie.
