It wasn't a giant robot, I think it was human scale, maybe the size of a car, and it was unique to the series inasmuch as no other robots were lions. I think it was The Lancer. I'll try to post a picture later.

I remember that the main robot was a pair of robots, with one that was actually a human-sized knight. I don't think it was affiliated with Transformers, though...
Also, I did not know about the Know that show page, sorry. ^^;

I found this old toy I had as a souvenir from Japan, circa June 2002. Its a transforming lion-robot which separates. I remember that it combines with another robot in the series to create an alternate form, and it also combines with a toy that hooks up to the TV to play a game. The toy itself is blue, with gold for the lion's mane and tail, and when in robot form, the lion's head has a green orb in its mouth.
Anyone remember this series?
