the glitches and stuff seem effected because of day 1 firmware.

nothing serious to be sure probably solved easily by another frimware.

this is not like when PSP suddenly eject UMD.

anyway about battery life: it seem on Max setting i can do roughly 3-4 Hour. compare to 3DS which with Max setting is 2-3 h

watching movie is 7 hour

People seem to keep saying battery life is a problem for the Vita, but it still has a better battery life than the 3DS and far better than any iPhone or iPod. Battery life is just a problem for every handheld now.

^^It has. The glitches are pretty rare.

3DS didn't take off til the price cut. Doubt Sony will be doing that anytime soon.

Yeah, cause its not like Sony have some other things going for them, like a way superior library, better tech and not making its one selling point inconvenient to use.

The 3DS didn't sell at $250 because the 3DS was not worth $250 - hell, it still isn't. The Vita, on the other hand - the only flaw anyone has been able to consistently name that isn't "X doesn't work perfectly yet", as in " Ps1 Classics don't transfer yet" and "Remote Play has yet to reach its full potential". Note the yet there.

^Then why is the Vita selling at a lower rate than the 3DS was selling at $250?

Note:I don't take sides in console wars. I'm going to buy a Vita as soon as Persona 4 comes out for it, I think it looks pretty awesome and I hope both handhelds succeed. I'm just wondering.

Like I said, people are jaded from the dissapointment that was the 3DS. Remember, you're comparing the sales over 2 days.

[up][up] 3DS had a lot of hype early on, which would have been enough for the Day 1 sales. Its problem was that there wasn't much to keep people interested if they weren't planning to be there on Day 1; its launch lineup wasn't particularly interesting, and it had a massive drought after that (partially due to delays) all the way up until the price was dropped.

Vita doesn't have any giant system-sellers, but there's certainly no lack of compelling stuff there to play, and it has some interesting releases over the next few months (especially in terms of RP Gs) on top of that which could draw new people in.

There's also a question of how the SKU distribution was split; if they undershipped the Wifi-only model, there might be people who would have wanted to pick one up day-1 who chose to wait until they could find the cheaper model.

Vita doesn't have any giant system-sellers

Ahem.

Seriously, what the fuck is with everyone acting as if Uncharted is not a system seller?

[up] Uncharted eh? I suppose it is, but the 3DS have gotten out 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 not so long ago (not to mention it is now cheaper and the early adopters have been compensated), Kid Icarus Uprising and Luigi's Mansion 2 is coming out in the first quarter of the next year, and Kingdom Hearts 3D is scheduled for spring, and then we have Monster Hunter 4 when it comes to Killer Apps in Japan. As for remakes, we do have Ocarina Of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D, with a possibility for Majoras Mask. Then there's that Pokémon/Nobunagas Ambition Crossover and the retro homage RPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, and Theatrhythm. The 3DS has also shown that handheld fighters can be done well on a handheld console.

Gravity Rush could be a hit once it comes out, and I suppose the Persona4 remake is a good buy if you haven't bought it before, or want to see the new content. Then there's that Disgaea remake... though I don't really like that series. Then there's of course the remake of Final Fantasy X... I dunno what else good games there would be for the Vita. Someone help me out please?

All of the Vita's so called AAA titles are HD remakes really.

FFX is going to be a PS 3/Vita game from my understanding playable on both but you have to get a bigger memory card for the vita version (I could be wrong)

Persona 4 Remake

And that is pretty much it, nothing that is a real system seller.

Seriously, what the fuck is with everyone acting as if Uncharted is not a system seller?

I was referring to its known Japanese sales (not its as-yet-unknown Western sales), and Uncharted doesn't have anywhere near the amount of sales draw over there. It still sells pretty well (and Uncharted: GA did 40k on Vita over there at launch, as the second-highest-selling title on the system), but I don't think it's a Japanese system seller.

Gravity Rush would be much more likely to gain interest over there, since it's supposed to be something of an ARPG, and it has more of an Eastern flavor to it. It's a new RPG, though, so it's kind of hard to predict how it's going to do.

^^^^ Good job implying the Vita doesn't do fighters.

^^^ Bullshit. Ruin, Sumioni, Unit 13, Wipeout 2048, Sound Shapes, Dragons Crown, Resistance, Little Big Planet, Lordof Apocalypse.

^Neither are most of what people consider to be the must have games of the 3DS.

I'm not sure that line made any sense, why would they be on the 3DS?

(EDIT) [up] Alright if you make a line-up I'll make one too.

Kingdom Hearts 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, Ninja Gaiden, Super Smash Bros.

Come at me bro.

[up][up][up][up] I could see Little Big Planet, but I really dunno 'bout the rest.

Also, 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, and the 3DS Ambassador Games are going to last me a while.

Not to mention that by now, in my opinion, the 3DS have gotten a decent library of games to last you a while until a new game comes out.

I didn't say that Vita doesn't do fighters, what I'm saying is that the 3DS games in the fighter genre have been done very well, which isn't very common with handheld fighters in general. There's also the fact that since the Vita hasn't been out for long, we can't really say if it does the fighting genre justice! Though I suppose that if Blaz Blue were done well on it, then it's nice!

^^^ Ah, so you're claiming superiority through overexposure rather than quality. Fine, then we go back to the Final Fantasy X remake - obviously that game will be a gigantic seller.

^^ How? Said library's good games are basically those two, which are incredibly overblown by Nintendo fans (Mario Kart 7 has an 85 on metacritic. Stop acting like its the fucking second coming), and the next worthwhile game doesn't come out til the end of March - and even then, the release dates been moved so often I would bet you it gets delayed again.

And no, the Ps P was doing handheld fighters well for years. As for judging how well, we have these things called previews. You know, the ones that say that Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 on the Vita is a perfect port of the home console version, and has absolutely no sacrifices in control, graphics or online.

[up][up] Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Pilotwings Resort, Dead Or Alive: Dimensions, Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Nintendogs + Cats, Tales of the Abyss 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, potentially Resident Evil: The Mercenaries, and potentially Tetris: AXIS... add that to 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 and you'll find that it's not a "single game library"!

Kid Icarus: Uprising, Luigi's Mansion, and Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympic Games will come out in the first quarter. The first one will definitely be great, and the second is a sequel which fans of the first game have wanted for years. Meanwhile, the Mario & Sonic At the Olympic Games series have been quite enjoyable, and who's to say that this portable version won't be? That's not "one good game", that's two (potentially three) good games that will be coming sooner or later.

Other 2012 games from Nintendo after those would be Animal Crossing 3DS, Mario Tennis 3DS, and Paper Mario 3DS, and if we go into third parties, we have Theatrhythm and Kingdom Hearts 3D from Square Enix, potentially Tekken 3D: Prime Edition from Namco, the Professor Layton games and potentially Time Travelers from Level-5, Resident Evil: Revelations and potentially Monster Hunter 4 from Capcom...

However, this is getting out of hand, so shall we agree to disagree with each other?

So we have 2 inferior ports of home console games, a kiddy porn game thats inferior as a fighter, a bunch of remakes, whether acknowledged or not (that don't even add new content) and a game you'd have to be very very charitable to describe as good. And then you have games that are actually games that make the system worse by association (The Mercenaries highlights a very, very damning feature of the 3DS).

And then you go into the 2012 library that won't laucnh before a good chunk of Vita games come out.
