I... don't see what the problem is here. If you have the Gamecube games already, then... why would you... need to buy them again? Chances are you still have one of the two consoles that can play them by the time Wii U comes out. It's not like Miyamoto is going door to door saying, "You want Wii U? Give back Wii and Gamecube! No more play for you!"
I mean, I still have my N64 and games. Granted, I'm trying to sell them, but I've kept them for this long. The only game I already own and have bought on VC is Majora's Mask, and that was because I couldn't find my N64 at the time added with the fact that the N64 controller is awful and I'm afraid the joystick may break any moment.
