So why does everyone assume Op. Rainfall will be unsuccessful?

Seriously, there is absolutely no reason to think that the games The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Pandoras Tower won't be released here.

Sure, you could always make the Mother 3 argument, but, unlike Mother 3, these games don't have any legal reasons to be held back, and these games have never had any predecessors that sold poorly, and to top it all off, they're on a system that isn't dead yet, making this argument an ineffective one at best.

Literally every single reason Mother 3 wasn't exported is invalid when you apply the same argument to these games.

Furthermore, Nintendo has always been quite receptive to fans, and if we make it clear we want these games, they will be released here.

What's more, sales figures for niche games on the Wii have been shown to be higher in North America than in Europe or Japan, so Nintendo has no reason not to release the games here.

So, yeah, anyone who thinks that these games are not coming over here is blatantly ignoring facts.

We don't need another thread on this, first off.

Secondly, there are multiple reasons as to why Mother 3 ain't coming here. Among them: Legal issues that can't easily be rectified, niche audience and I heard that the developers recommended the fan translation.

There's the Virtual Console for Wii, but that would probably be more work for a game that Nintendo thinks won't do as well in America.

Um guys, he kinda covered why Mother 3 wasn't getting localized in the OP. He was saying that none of those reasons apply to the other games.

Also, what is Op. Rainfall exactly?

Trying to get Nintendo Of America to bring over Pandoras Tower, Monado, and The Last Story by sending them mails, showing them their preorders for those games, etc.

Mainly because, the Wii literally have no good games left atm. The closest thing to a fun upcoming game is that upcoming Zelda game...but Zelda games are so casual. And with the exception of Donkey Kong Country, most games being released for the Wii in the past few months have been underwhelming...The Conduit sucks.

....I seriously with Capcom would continue updating Monster Hunter Tri 's online play. But they stopped creating new quests after "World Eater".

...more importantly, many people don't want to jump so many hoops(importing+hacking their Wii) just to play them.

Ah, thank you.

And while I doubt it'll work, I'll be grateful if it does.

[up][up]Because...people have heard of it, I guess?

Casual has had some definition decay in the last few years.

I'll say it has.

Should this thread be locked, and this discussion continued in the old thread?

Obviously (for some), I think it should. After all, it has nearly exactly the same topic.
