I've played 1943 and Bad Company 2.
The main thing that attracts me to Battlefield is the realism and strategy involved in it. Bullet drop and utilizing cover makes for more realistic gameplay. Unlike in Call of Duty where you can just go around and shoot at people, ignoring every aspect of realism.
The different kits (Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon) adds the strategical part within it. I usually use Engineer and Recon. I'll roll with the UMP-45, Tracer Dart, M2 CG, EX Upgrade, Magnum Ammo, and V Alt Weapon when using Engineer and the M24, M 93 R
, Mortar Strike, Ammo Upgrade, Spotter Scope, and V Alt Weapon when using Recon.
