So I'm at Volcano Valley now, and I gotta say, I'm really enjoying this game. The devs clearly had so many creative ideas for this game, and it shows. Seriously, some of the levels are really fun to play through because of the gimmicks that are in them. And the game doesn't feel repetitive at all since there's something new in every stage. I liked the outer ring levels of Dedede Resort, the minigames there are fun.
Oh, and the bosses are tough! Even Whispy puts up a good fight this time! They're not that tough if you're just trying to get through the battle, but getting a Gold Star on these guys turns them into an exercise of frustration. Oh, and some of the tasks you have to do are sadistic. I wondered why you were allowed to fight King Dedede with only one Kirby. Then I unlocked the One on One Victor task... Seriously, you have to fight King Dedede, who uses bombs as his primary weapon, which can kill Kirbys in one hit. He turns into something of a pushover once you ground him though. (Speaking of tasks, that pinball task took hours to do! Just how are you supposed to reliably get Kirbys in every pocket!?)
Oh, and Kirby Quest has officially become my favorite minigame. It's pretty fun!
And I like Daroach. He's a pretty cool guy. Not to mention he tells you the backstory of the island, his crew, and the Skull Gang if you talk to him enough. It's pretty interesting.
