I suppose there was always something shady about it, and maybe I'm once again letting my feelings on how things go in SMT bias me, but I feel like just having her be evil is the easy way out, rather than coming up with something more nuanced. It's basically an Order vs. Chaos thing...no, I suppose it's one form of order vs another form of order. Eh whatever, maybe they'll surprise me with this one.

True enough I suppose.

Given how continuity-heavy the franchise is I'm just waiting for things to come full circle and the real Big Bad is the kid from the very first manga.

I feel like they should have done something with the Garuru Cannon, to be honest.

I am gonna say right now, That Omegamon was created by adding Seraphimon to the mix.

If anyone is interested, the new Omegamon is called Omegamon Merciful mode.

Also, the With the Will website has a podcast, and they recently interviewed Jeff Nimoy. The interview is nice to listen to and has some interesting parts to it. The video is almost an hour though.

Oh wow, Tai's not dead. It's funny how it took them one movie to resolve that yet they just wait way too freaking long to reveal the fates of the 02 cast.

Given that the movies are about the Adventure cast and not the 02 cast, that shouldn't be surprising. Besides, the less they say about them, the more room they have to expand in future installments.

They've said they're not retconning 02's divisive epilogue, right?

I've never seen a source for that statement so take it with a grain of salt.

Last they spoke of it, the epilogue still stands.

The only time the epilogue was mentioned in connection with tri was in a magazine interview talking about how the theme of humans and digimon coming together can be found in the last word of the epilogue using the usual vague words for interviews. The interview was released before the synopsis for Reunion came out, when that had confirmed 02 was canon. So, there was no confirmation about the epilogue being canon at all.

meanwhile the Tamers cd drama is now available to the japanese public, but so far we only know little tidbits:

-Teenage takato is transported to the future

-Turns out future takato is elsewhere, but is in a relationship with Juri

-Future Juri is a school teacher

-Future Ruki is a motocross biker

-Future Jenrya is a university researcher

-The Cd drama ends without young Takato returning to his timeline.

So how did Ryo's Dad get from the "Digimon Adventure" universe to the "Digimon Tamers" universe?

Maybe a Ryo existed in Tamers and got sent to another universe?

So, how would you imagine a "gattai" Digimon for Joe/Izzy, or Sora/Mimi?

So the actual translation to the Tamers cd drama is out, and it's more or less a pilot episode for a tamers sequel that won't get done

Konaka wants to do it though, so in theory it could happen.

And this CD has convinced me that he'd be able to do it without having the......problems.......that have plagued Tri.

Speaking of tri, a brasilean has posted some spoilers to the movie in portuguese based on the pre-screening. Not everything, just an explanation to the context of the trailer scenes, and answering some obvious questions.
