Well, that was some epic shit.

Applimonsters has been a little slow, and the middle part got a bit derailed, but when it's on target, it's dead centre bullseye.

I'm curious as to whether the series will continue in a new season, or if this will be the end of it.

Appmon really got its stuff together for its finale, there were a lot of good moments like the Appmon escaping through Leviathan, Haru jumping off the tower, and just the simple gag of Hajime high-fiving Denemon on the computer screen.

It's kinda weird that Knight's reaction wasn't shown considering he was an antagonist who had believed in Leviathan for the longest time and that Haru's mom was brought back considering she dropped off the face of the Earth once the Denemon reveal happened.

So the satellite maps were actually Minerva observing the Appli Drivers, that's a nice touch.

Also the thing with Leviathan picking the Appmon it needs for upgrades is based on an actual concept using AI to simulate survival of the fittest by determining important factors that are essential for them.

Wait is it really over? Someone mentioned earlier that this would be 52 episodes but this week was 51. I haven't watched it yet but was there no preview at the end or anything? That's weird though because the official site also says there'll be 52 episodes.

There's an episode preview and they say next episode is the final episode.

So does anyone remember when the premiere of the dub of the episode where they beat Puppetmon was interrupted by a news broadcast of that Elian Gonzalez fiasco? Most traumatic moment of my elementary school years right there.

Finished. It was okay but the last few minutes really kicked things up. I can't believe Meicoomon is Apoclymon reborn and that the Dark Ocean is relevant again. That should be interesting. I don't expect Tai's death and Matt taking over as leader to stick though. That, the fact that not much actually happened until the last twenty or so minutes, and the 02 kids still not being relevant really dragged this down though. 8/10. Waiting for the last one, whenever that drops.

They finally brought those two things back? Wow!

I finish the movie. To think that Gatomon became Ophanimon Falldown Mode because of what happened to Tai, though I don't know if he and Nishijima is dead, but what's more is that Ophanimon Falldown Mode fused with Meicoomon's mega, and it's going to become worse, well the next movie is the last one, let's hope it ends well. And what's more Meicoomon is Apocalymon reborn. It was surprising that the Dark Ocean reappeared. Well now the leadership is now passed on to Matt. On a side note, who thought it was funny when Matt is surprisingly scared of scary stories? But I'm still mad that the 02 kids did not appear, I mean it's been 5 movies ever since they disappeared.

So those spoilers before its release were true.

OK, so the ending basically goes full Neon Genesis Evangelion. I wasn't expecting that.
