Well, I think that the Star Fox one is the best so far, but maybe it should be clearer somehow...? The other ones are weaker. Whatever picture gets chosen, needs to be married to that wonderfully sarcastic caption.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI still like the current image. Even if it's discussed.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyKeep it.
I really don't see how one can visually show a weak point, as opposed to just any point that's attackable.
Unless there's a game out there that actually calls it out on screen somehow...
...The same game they're discussing, Shadow Of The Colossus. See the last image on the last page. It's not a bad example, it's just not as clear as the discussed trope to me.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBump...crowner?
Crowner sounds good.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Blank crowner's hooked.
Bump to fill, I don't have time right now.
I might have left a couple out and I didn't watch any videos or take screenshots.
I really prefer one of the bosses from the House Of The Dead series. They actually point out a boss' weak point in big red letters.
- The "Death" has the classic "aim for the head" weak point.◊
- The "Fool" goes for the hands and feet instead.◊
In both cases, I can crop it to just the green display thing, if that's preferable.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I quite like those insets: they seem to me to quite clearly depict the trope.
My Games & WritingFirst one's already on Achilles' Heel.
Keep in mind this is primarily a Gameplay Trope; Achilles' Heel is the general supertrope for weak points. This trope is when the weak point is loudly telegraphed for easy identification.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Good grief...at the rate this is going, we're gonna have a helluvan Image Links page and nothing on the actual page.
Why nothing on the actual page?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Oh, I forgot that the current pic hadn't been pulled...if there's no consensus on the crowner then we wouldn't change anything.
Cropped the pictures I suggested earlier to just the inset showing the weak point. (Sorry that I only got around to it now.)
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I don't know if those are examples; they seem like just a regular Achilles' Heel. Like I mentioned, this trope is about how the weak point is telegraphed with an obvious visual cue.

Rhymes with "Protracted."I see your point. I'm just a little frustrated with most of the given suggestions, though, because I have a hard time figuring out just what I'm supposed to be looking for.
That Togglodyte, though, I am liking quite a bit.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Okay, the Togglodyte pic is great...what's that from?
It's from a joke expansion for Magic: the Gathering.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Alright, this one's ready to wrap. The new pic is up, potholed, and tagged, and the Image Links page is stuffed. Caption or no?

Okay, we've got plenty of suggestions, shall we crowner them?
