No one does that with Doomsday.
Jordan Lange. -checked.
Doomsday is kind of boring as a character though. He has about as much Popularity Power and character depth as... well, Broly. Doomsday's power is literally evolving to get stronger, while fans believe Broly's power is the same thing. So that'd be a funny matchup for a DBX or a OMM.
But against The Hulk:
- Asura
- Alex Mercer
- Rick from Splatterhouse
Are the 3 best options I know of, based on:
- Sheer motherf'cking power.
- Hyper-violent individuals.
- Created by accident or through some unholy union, living on Teeth-Clenched Teamwork with some supernatural demon, urge, or subconscious entity.
- Occasionally does more harm than good.
If they wanted to be cute:
- Wolverine
- Juggernaut
- The Thing
- Superman
- The Sentry
- The Plutonian
are all viable options.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Doomsday is certainly a good monster (much like Galactus, he's an occasional threat, and no writer is going to use him before figuring out a decent way to defeat him), but I've never heard anyone say he's a good "character". Dude's got very little personality for that.
The one people somehow like as a character is Broly. "I rage because a baby cried once" Broly Boggles the mind.
Also, Torrian animated Goku vs Superman 2 and Godzilla vs Gamera. I'm certain he can do justice to any of the Hulk's match-ups.
People like Broly for the same reason they like Kenpachi Zaraki and Hisoka - Blood Knight's who beat the snot out of the main character are fun. Same can be said for most Elite Mook characters.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Broly's a roaring beast made of pure machismo that embodies pure violence and has no aspirations beyond being a manly violent man-violence entity.
Characters made of equal parts MANLY, VIOLENCE, and MAN-VIOLENCE tend to be fairly popular among young males, especially in the West. Popular enough to be protagonists, even.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm pretty neutral on Doomsday but I really have to wonder he was brought back.
Also, am i the only one who thinks Orion of the New Gods would make a cool opponent for the Hulk? Superhuman berserkers who are anti heroes with evil fathers and they've both fought Superman.

The problem with Broly is that we have very little to go on when it comes to analyzing the full extent of his strength and durability. All we have are two movies that technically aren't even canon (unless I'm mistaken), which is nothing compared to the hundreds of comics, TV shows and movies that Hulk has been a part of.
I don't think The Thing would be a bad opponent, though I don't know enough about their respective feats to judge whether or not it would be balanced.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money. The Thing has been beaten the crap out of by The Hulk in just about every encounter they have had with ludicrous ease.
Watch SymphogearLike the high possibility of a curbstomp ever stopped Death Battle before. :p
The other problem I see is that it's two characters from what is effectively the same universe/franchise.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Talking about Thing, in how powerful exactly is he?
He's class 75.

Hulk's opponent revealed.
Was hoping Asura, but at least better then Broly.
Let the stupidity commence. There's only one way this can end...and I doubt DB is going to accept that.
Superman equipped with a boatload of Apokoliptian and New Genosian weaponry, including a Mother Box, sonic emitters, and a goddamn lightsaber, couldn't put Doomsday down. And yet they'll probably forget that fight.

Question: how durable is Hulk's skin?
Because I remember a while back in this thread, someone linked an example of Doomsday gaining the ability to shoot his spikes like a harpoon to deal with someone (a Kryptonian, if I recall right?) staying out of his reach. Said spikes were more than capable of piercing and reeling in their intended superpowered target.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaHulk's skin has been pierced by bladed weapons on numerous occasions. It's worth remembering that Wolverine was originally a Hulk antagonist, and that his adamantium claws are capable of wounding the Hulk (if only in a relatively minor fashion most of the time). Since Wolverine does not have any notable superstrength, the damage was inflicted by the sharpness of the claws alone—and while adamantium is super durable it's not actually super sharp.

IIRC, Hulk can take abuse and can't be slashed by regular blades. One of the few people to make Hulk bleed is Wolverine.
You know, now that I think about, I'm pretty sure they're going to make the whole "Killing Superman and defeating the Justice League" thing less impressive.
They're going to reason that
1. Superman was still developing his powers and holding back to not cause collateral damage.
2. Doomsday kinda sorta died too.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Good ole Irresistible Force versus Immovable object fight. Gonna give it to Doomsday.
Isn't the answer that they both concede?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Philosophically, it's a question without a set answer.

I feel like I'd give that one to the immovable object.
The unstoppable force wouldn't be stopping, I don't think, it's just that said force would be exerted in a different direction (such as along the immovable object, or away from it such that the source of the unstoppable source moves away from the immovable object.)

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaIt's not irresistible force meets immovable object though, given that Hulk is resisted with incredible regularity (so is Doomsday, but by a far smaller cast of characters).
I'd already addressed this, but I will repeat—this is why Hulk is in trouble. Wolverine does not have super strength and adamantium claws are not a lightsabre. The fact that a man with the strength of an average person who works out a lot can injure the Hulk, even when armed with a super durable knife (that's what the claws effectively are) puts Hulk's durability far, far below Doomsday's.
For Hulk to have a chance they'd have to use WWH and that's an incarnation of the character generated by a lengthy chain of events that are incredibly hard to replicate, and even then, I'd put my money on Doomsday.

...oh, right. We were talking about Death Battle.
I'd give it to Doomsday too, just because he's that hard to kill. It's another Bowser vs. Ganondorf scenario.
That said, I'm looking over the page Healing Factor and it sounds like Hulk has a way faster/more efficient one than Doomsday... if it's given to Hulk, maybe that'll be part of why?
I don't read comics so I can't really vouch on the field of Healing Factors.
Good point. I guess my snappy wordplay needed some more thought put into it.
He's boring good...
