How about Asura?
Uni catNo. I refuse to go through this again. I don't even wanna put Discord against Cipher.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?because Bill would lose right
New theme music also a boxAsura might actually lose that match-up because of Hakai.
See like, the problematic factor with Beerus, much like Flandre from Touhou Project, is that both characters have an instant win "Delete" button that's definitely not hard to use for either of them.
Though in Beerus' case, it is established that someone stronger than him can resist it. But then that means you'd be giving him an opponent who we'd already know would win.
So yeah, this is a bad idea.
Beerus versus Darkseid: Hakai versus Omega Beams.
I doubt they'll actually do that, since it's a bit too close to Superman vs Goku, and Darkseid vs Thanos works better.
Hmm... Do you think that someone from Tenchi Muyo would be a good opponent for Beerus?
Re. Crash vs. Spyro... since they're doing composites, Crash doesn't stand a chance. If it was just the classic versions it'd be a fairer fight, but since they showed a clip of Legend Spyro in his Dark form... nothing in Crash's arsenal - not even the Wumpa Fruit bazooka or Norris Roundhouse - can withstand the sheer destructive power of Spyro's dark Aether beam.
People have been suggesting Sailor Cosmos as an opponent for Beerus.
Hmm... Sigma from the Mega Man X series is something of a technopath. If he were to infect Cyborg Superman with the Maverick Virus...

So what I'm understanding is Spyro has super forms and Crash doesn't?
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?So does this mean we can finally take away the "characters have no prior knowledge of each other rule"?
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Yep:
Legend Dark Spyro
Skylanders Dark Spyro

Just to get something resembling a reasonable fight out of the recent robot suggestions: how about Metallo versus Protoman (with them both having experimental power cores being the connecting factor?)
What was supposed to be a game celebrating all of Jojo ended up having a storymode mostly about Jotaro.
Which is a shame because there's a lot of cool stuff there, like Joseph basically slapping his own timeline it's stupid face when he prevents the argument between his younger self and Cesar that lead to the latter's death.
One Strip! One Strip!Well they also have Diamond is Unbreakable Josuke meet Jojolion Josuke in story mode and have them not comment at all that they're both Josuke Higashikata.
The only interaction they have is a regular battle when Joshu makes fun of Part 4 Josuke's hair and Part 8 Josuke tells Joshu to cut it out, and Koichi is also there.
Like I get that the Part 1-6 crew won't have that much in common with Part 7-8, but c'mon, missed opportunities all around. You got Dio and Diego to interact and Jonathan and Johnny to, do at least something with the Josukes.

Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?I missed the Cyborg Superman conversation, but I'll just make the highly silly "contribution" that my favorite story involving him is the crossover with the Fantastic Four where he was trying to become the Herald of Galactus (iirc, he failed miserably).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Thats an interesting crossover because didn't he start off as serial numbers filed off Reed Richards?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHuh. Reed Richards vs Joseph Joestar. Masters of planning and bullshittery, both underestimated by their enemies, both with powers that let them fight at long range (the Zoom Punch, Joseph using Hamon to make escape ladders and makeshift ropes), alliterative names, both having fended off Nigh-Invulnerable opponents like Kars and Galactus.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't think Joseph possesses any mean to inflict harm on Reeds Richard. Hamon doesn't directly hurt living people (Though some of its effects can, such as launching solid projectiles). And Reeds powers make him all but impervious to physical blows. He'd need to be cut by something (or attack by something that pierces which he cant absorb by deforming, ie: Lasers). Neither of which Joseph can really do without extra gear.
And as Hamon depends on breathing (Something Reeds would notice very fast as Joseph takes pronounced breathes before using Hamon), it'd be no great trouble for Reeds to suffocate Joseph.

But what he does have is an invisible, Nigh Invulnerable psychic ghost that doubles as a rope, grappling hook, and means to rip things apart with, and Reed has no way to accurately predict Hermit Purple's attacks.
Might not win him the fight but it'd prolong it.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!But Hermit Purple can't harm Reed either. It can't rip him apart as it has very little strength (Joseph has to use his own weight to get enough strength for Hermit Purple to rip off Empress for example). Sure, it might bind Reed, but that's barely anything since he can just stretch. It does give Joseph some extra mobility to do the Josestar secret family tactic (Run away).
Hermit Purple's attacks are unpredictable. But they are also utterly inconsequential for Reed.
Also Hermit Purple is not nigh-invulnerable. In the Manga at least, DIO can physically break it using his own strength when wrapped in it.

I don't recall DIO ever being wrapped in Hermit Purple (because if he was, Joseph would have immediately Hamon'ed the crap out of him).
One Strip! One Strip! He tries to. Dio breaks out first.
Chapter 254. I believe page 15 (Can't link to scan sites as per wiki policies)
Oh...Go D...NO!
...I physically strained a muscle to type that.
