What does "doxxed" actually mean?

As far as I can tell, taking all sorts of private information (email, address, phone numbers, credit card info, SSN, etc.) and posting it online.

Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.

How does one even manage to acquire someone's SSN (assuming they've been careful about it)?

A lot of less-than-secure websites require it. Job application websites spring to mind, those things are barely functional.

Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.

And this is why I prefer doing those via paperwork rather than digitally.

Kyle covers another really obscure movie. This Christopher guy, he made some movie about a clown, I think?

Gerry II: The Gerrying. A surprising mind-blower for a film already covered. "Gerry is a video game" ranks up there with the big movie twists. Bruce Willis was Gerry the whole time!

When he was talking about how videogames and movies influenced each other he got so excited I got excited (however that works).

Looks like Kyle's video on Inception is what inspired me for the subject my upcoming Bachelor's thesis is probably going to have! Satoshi Kon and surrealism, particularly how he uses the blending of surrealism with self-awareness to reflect on our media consumption using the very media we consume. I sent him some questions about that via Tumblr fanmail, I hope he'll respond some day, maybe...

I have a question for you guys, too! I vaguely remember the term "applicability" as opposed to symbolism with a clearly intended meaning... ah, I think it was about Tolkien's works! Was it one of Kyle's videos I remember this from? It seems like an important concept to be able to attribute to someone. It seems very relevant in regards to Millenium Actress in particular. I think.

I am honestly surprised that the Iranian government didn't crack down harder on him after his not-movie got out. Why would they be that lenient to Loophole Abuse?

I'll be looking to check out a lot of those over the winter. They sound intriguing.

Kyle's twitter hasn't updated for a month and I'm quite confused about that. He might be staying away for personal reasons, but his last attempt to stay off Twitter for a week lasted two days. Dunno.

EDIT: Speak of the devil.

Fantastic analysis, and I'm loving the new graphics and such. That new opening sequence—with the titles being fast-forwarded through a hundred years of film graphic design—is something I need as a .gif so I can watch it on repeat over and over and over again.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

How can I follow blip channels by rss? I want to catch up on Media Hunter, Film Renegado, and Obscurus Lupa as well as Oancitizen. Firefox won't let me show a feed link.

Tis beautiful. I'll miss the old openings, but I suppose I can just rewatch them.
