Just for the record, I guessed the trope correctly from the old name. I love it when that happens.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.

Once I know what it's called, it's not too hard to guess. It's just really hard to know what your're looking for, without already having known it. Plus, I for one don't find it memorable.
