I've actually had really god coversations with the enemy sometimes. we mutually agreed the Vanu suck most.

Hahahaha, yeah, It's less the players and more the aircraft, once they leave the aircraft I don't care nearly as much.

I just really hate those freaking planes.

It's a bit irrational.

Aircraft do suck. Especially the good, tricky pilots.

Or when there's just a duck ton of them.

I'm trying really hard to kick my heavy assault habit. I enjoy the class but over time I keep getting worse because the shield is such a crutch. It's difficult to unlearn all these bad habits. I keep pushing f to not die...

I've decided I kind of hate outfits. There's nothing like logging into a fresh alert, spawning into the amp station, and then 30 seconds later not being able to see the sun because of all the fucking galaxies.

I just logged off. It wasn't even worth my time to try.

Pretty much. I love wolf it 100% of the time so there are points where it's just not worth it to even try haha.

Yea that happens. I usually just switch to heavy or sniper and just try to take out some vehicles or ambush a few soldiers with stealth, via knifes and v pistols. Never does much good but I'll slow them down some

I seem to be extremely bad at flying planes. Every time I get in one I crash within minutes. Not sure how I'm supposed to hit things when I can barely stay in the air...

That said, there was one time when I managed to crash land right on top of the capture point in an enemy outpost, and I captured it and held off the enemies alone until the cavalry arrived. That was pretty awesome.

I mainly play Medic because everyone seems to die an awful lot and I feel bad when I see the 'downed ally' icon and I can't help them. Not that I haven't racked up my fair share of kills with the class too...

So what's up with these "0.5" second kill times? Even when I actually land all my bullets it takes like, an entire second to kill anyone. It feels like every single weapon at my disposal does so little damage that I'm better off standing at render distance and spamming Q to get certs.

I think my main problem is having to learn how to compensate for my current latency. I keep suffering from the dreaded "Killed behind cover" That comes from Clientside vs Server Location. This is probably a continuation of my heavy assault bad habits of focusing more on Zerging. Working cover is still difficult for me, because it seems like I rarely get the Drop on people when moving through cover, and playing VS that means that toe to toe I have neither the DPS or ROF to compensate.

Had some good runs with my heavy assault earlier tonight though, had a group of low BR storming a base and (as usual) my team appeared uninterested in defending objectives or killing sunderers. plenty of solid kills on infiltrators who think they're invisible. I kind of really like the flashlight, even though that probably makes me a bad player.

After some frustration with the beamer I've come to realize how useful it actually is. With no bullet drop I can effectively use it at any range and still hit people, especially with its low recoil.

In other news I got the H-v45 for my medic! Woo babbies first bullet hose.

The skyguard is surprisingly useful for killing things that aren't aircraft. It's fun to poke infantry and vehicles through vehicle shields because they don't expect it and explosives don't get through :3

It's weird, half the time I'm pretty rubbish, but every so often I'll just go through a period of performing very, very well. in a two and a half hour period I racked up 250 certs, that's a lot to me, and let me finish kitting out my Sirius with its surpressor, lasersight, and soon to be advanced laser.

I'm really liking my sirius, but I feel like I probably want a carbine for the light assault that I'm growing ever more fond of. I'm aiming for the Solstice SF right now because UNDERBARREL GRENADES YES GOOD. Should help me become even better in my self appointed roll of MAX hunter. With two bricks of C4 I almost have the anti-armor potential of a heavy assault, with the maneuverability to try and die less than a zerging bullet sponge would.

I feel a bit of longing for my lasher at times though. I miss my discoball flinging wubgun.

Since I'm apparently the only person who actually uses this thread anymore I'll just keep going, haha. Connery is kind of irritating me lately. Every alert, EVERY FREAKING ALERT the TR population will balloon to the point where it eclipses the VS and NC combined. It's very frustrating to log in, be pleased that it's in the middle of an alert, and see every base of yours from here to Subterranean Nanite Analysis crawling with BR 90+ TR

I just don't have much to say. What server are you on, though? I'd advise trying out Mattherson, the VS get some crazy overpop there. :P

But yeah, TR just got a big 'coolness' update on their sounds and such. Loads of people have been switching over to them in response, which is a shame.

I recently got Planet Side the other day. Not a lot of people hanging around, sadly.

@hydrall: I only have a character on connery, and I'm probably not one to make one for every faction. I like my lasers, in all of our balanced mediocrity with no bullet drop.

And indeed, you see right.

I basically only solo myself, but there's outfits and stuff you could join if you wanted to.

My solo nature sort of lends itself to Light Assault work. I'm too objective focused and shit aim, so infiltrator is basically right out.

I hate zergs, I really hate them. you get shit Certs, giant, neverending stalemates thanks to the antizerg that forms, and fights become fewer and fewer as reinforcements are gobbled up by what amounts to a mobile biolab.

I feel a little uncomfortable using non-armor suit slots, but the Sirius SX 12 burns through a lot of ammo, even if I hit all my shots, I really need the ammo pouches lonewolfing.

I could use some advice. Vr is nice and all but it's not really close to real combat. I have been trying sniping lately and I find the default vs sniper to be severely lacking in the damage department. Bolt actions look cool but having to deal with bullet drop kind of sucks for a scrub like me. The phase shift hypothetically mitigates these issues but reviews of it are... Mixed to say the least. Anyone have suggestions?

Man, I really hate outfits. I'd be fine if they were tactically brilliant in their steamrolling, but instead it's just a "We've concentrated 40% of this continents pop in this zerg GG"

it's interesting during events because you get several doing that against each other.

also, nothing's quite as frightening as several galaxies full of maxes (and maybe a couple engies and medics)dropping right on your head.
