Does anybody know how to deal with the apparent glitch regarding the Side Mission "Creating a Safe Haven"?

Because I've done everything the game asked, yet the mission hasn't updated.

Try possessing Blake and walking him to the place you need to go. Might fix it.

Alternately, should he already be there, you can try possessing him and walking him away. Sometimes he fails to trigger the quest the first time.

Fun game, pity that pacifist run takes lots of it away tongue I mean, pacifist run makes most of weapons unusable and most of upgrades and powers too so you'll just focus on few ones that help in non violence. Plus you miss lots of finisher animations

Finally got Clean Hands!

Turns out:

  1. Attacking the assassins in the prologue doesn't cause the achievement to be voided
  2. Granny Rags vs Slackjaw in chapter 7 is bugged...if you subdue Granny, even if it won't count as kill in the report page, DOES cout against Clean Hands...so don't take her down! Steal her key and run like hell!

Which means I have to redo everything from mission 7 onwards...which turns out much faster than I expected...I only used blink and dark vision in my original playthrough, with Possession only done to the last 4 enemies...this time I use Bend Time and Possession a bit more liberally, and things are now much faster!

[up]x3 Tried that one already. Didn't work.

And yes, I walked him into the threat zone.

[up][up] They put in some kind of excuse text to avoid you ruining the achievement right at the start. When the assassins appear, it says "Attack or defend- non-lethal". Presumably they teleported away before you could kill them.

Also, I want that telekinesis power that they have. It's quite surprising that you can't unlock that as one of your powers.

You managed to knock Rags out? She turned into a shower of rodents when I tried.

You can only kill her by destroying her cameo in the incinerator. At any other point in the game, she's immortal.

Yeah, but even after you do that, and knock her out with sleep dart, it counts against Clean Hands...

Sleep darting people doesn't count against Chaos rating, does it?

^ It doesn't count, but for some stupid reason darting Granny at chapter 7 does count against Clean Hands (but not as a kill oddly enough)...

So... I did the Boyle party. After I ID'ed who the target was, I killed her, and then managed to quietly slaughter each and every party guest and guard. (Basically, the kitchen was a death trap.)

When I left, the Watch Officer outside cheerfully said, "Good evening! I hope you had a wonderful time!" Hahahahaha.

And then I killed him.

I think JAF might either be sociopath in secret, product of violent video games or in big need of stress relief tongue

But yeah, completed game on low chaos. I haven't completed it on high chaos but I kind of disagree about low chaos version of final level being let down. I mean, yeah its easy, but at that point you are supernatural assassin who have managed to get past all previous missions with minimum casualties so it kind of feels like reward. There is something satisfying in seeing big bad just having completely given up and not resisting at all as odd as that sounds.

I'm more annoyed by that game doesn't really acknowledge your pacifism tongue I mean seriously, everyone refers to you like you are killing people even when talking about key targets.

[down] Yeah, it was awesome to bend time, run past guards, disarm arc pylon and run past two other guards xD Like I said, at that point you just feel so awesome that it doesn't really matter that end mission is actually easy.

It was pretty cool stopping time and using a combination of sprinting and teleporting to get past 4 or 5 guards at once without them seeing a thing.

Okay, list of stuff where they don't acknowledge the fact you are not killing anyone:

Havelock's journal about guards and Corvo, Sokolov's comment on your job being killing, Havelock's monolog at end being about your sword hand being fast, etc

Is there at least dialog change for not being detected?

Only case where I can remember target neutralization changing dialog(besides propaganda speeches and that only applies to Cambell) is Daud's comment on what happened to Burrows

I figured the government was putting out disinformation that you were killing tons of people regardless of whether you actually were or not, to make people less likely to support you.

Yeaaah there are reasons why you can assume that they just aren't aware of it, doesn't change the fact that its probably to cut costs on voice acting tongue

Okay, finished Campells's level. Went the nonlethal route, still on Low chaos rating despite having to kill a sizable number of guards near the end. I also rescued Curnow.

I've already completed this mission, but is there a way to get rid of the Torturer without killing him?

I KO'd him and fried his body with one of those electric barriers in hopes that it wouldn't count, but I supposed that would be a pretty blatant loophole if that did work.

^^Thats one of mission objectives so its not optional.

^^^Is rescuing Curnow one of those acts that lower chaos like bribing Sokolov instead of rats?

How does chaos work anyway? Do I get high chaos version of final level only if I complete previous mission on high chaos or what?
