This series is just so /adorable/ and heartwarming I don't even.
Every episode just gives me happy feelings.
strangehowIveneverevenheardofthebunnydropmangabeforeIpickeduptheanime.
Watching this anime makes me want to see Yotsubato the animation. I know it's never going to happen but what's there to stop me from hoping.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Final chapter of the manga has finally been translated.
I'm not happy with it.
That's not a spoiler...
That said, congrats for managing to read the final chapter without being spoiled.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I was spoiled. I just didn't want to believe it.
Just read the final chapters last night, and I'm pretty much in the same boat as Kayeka.
Does anyone know what the general Japanese-fandom reaction was? I'm curious to know if this is just a cultural thing.
Tumblr here. You know, that thing that bothers us doesn't actually bother me in itself. It bothers me that, ever since the timeskip, they were suddenly telling a completely different story. One that I didn't really wanted to hear either, because I was being charmed by the cute antics of an inexperienced but well-meaning father and his adoptive child. I didn't need the standard coming-of-age for a young girl, with some added creepiness to barge in on that.
Gave this one a gander out of curiosity up 'til episode 3. Looks like this one is worth keeping an eye on.
So it looks like the anime is shuffling plot points of the manga a little, but the pacing seems to imply they'll probably only manage to cover the first quarter or half of the manga. Either they're opting to cover only the first half of the manga, or are banking on a complete adaptation spanning more than one season.
EDIT: Episode 4 is just out, subbed.

I didn't notice until the anime started airing, but Rin has some of the cutest expressions. The ">_>" glare she gives Daikichi twice in this episode made me LOL.
So...anyone understand the reaction of the other mother's when they heard Daikichi's vaccination comment? Is it a japanese thing to not talk about it?
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."
Because they don't want to send their children to school with a possibly unvaccinated child.
Probably just a "He hasn't had her vaccinated yet!?" reaction.
Edit: Ninja'd.

#IceBearForPresident....makes sense I guess, who'd want their kid to go to school with an unvaccinated one.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Also, not knowing what vaccines your child got is (usually, Daikichi's case is obviously special) a sign of a Rather Irresponsible Father.
Mii-chan is wrong. Just plain wrong.
Full ending and the opening PV.

I'm currently following the manga in sync with the anime.
Seems the first four episodes of the show have roughly covered up until the first half of manga's chapter 10; at this rate, this anime could very well encompass only the first half of the manga for this season (the manga has 56 chapters). Whether or not this implies a one-season show with a completely new ending is anyone's guess.
So the next episode has finally arrived and we get to know Rin's mother.
Well, now that is a quite an immature looking adult... Though she does seem to care about Rin in her own way. Also, I really hope the kids don't pick on Rin for her last name, though I get the feeling that she could handle it.
And finally, once again, we see how the relationship between Rin and Daikichi continues to evolve... In greatly heartwarming ways

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.BTW, the OST is out. This is probably my favorite track. So pretty~*_*
So....do parents usually cry when their kids graduate from a nursery school?
Also, this is just a hunch, but I think that the old man isn't really Rin's real father, and that the real father is that orange haired guy in the end.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I liked the post-ED bit where Daikichi wondered whether he was raising Rin or vice versa.
Tumblr here. That was a pretty sweet scene.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. My answer to his thoughts on who's raising whom: Both.
I wish my parents planted a tree for me!
...but then again I've moved four times throughout my childhood so I wouldn't have gotten to see it.
In a way, this show is kinda nostalgic. Every episode made me think of parts of childhood.
Props to the mangaka for being able to do this.
