Personally, I don't think Bismarck's an Assassin. There's no proof of it.
I kinda like to think of him as someone who knows about the Assassin-Templar Conflict but doesn't take any permanent sides, instead choosing to play the two sides against each other so as to achieve his goals. He seems like the kind of man to do that.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Good point. A bit like Napoleon.
I quite liked the original AC assertion that the Allies and Axis were all in on it. Really sold the whole Templars / illuminati world order backdrop. But delving into that is good. Depth is always better.
Like, I can't see the Templars getting behind the Holocaust or Masterplan East, so maybe Hitler and co went totally rogue? Or were puppets who broke the strings?

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.
Considering the many occult interests of certain Nazis (primarily Himmler) I wouldn't be surprised if they actually did find the Lance of Longinus, Holy Grail or something else as a Piece of Eden. You could easily tie that to his obsession with Atlantis and other bizarre antics.
So they could be puppets for the First Will who went rogue from the Templars after believing their own lies about being descendants of ancient supermen.
The entire NSDAP's story is basically a smorgasbord of ingredients to use and tie them to secret societies.

Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleThis is going to be a weird one - not much publicity out there about it compared to Shadow of War, which it will be going up against - both open world games, both introducing new mechanics. Think this could be a real challenge for Ubisoft.
I mean it looks good, but there's a risk it'll have the shadow of the series and all the baggage that comes with it really dragging it.
Talk about a new game mode, the Discovery Tour
Very interesting.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Quick summary for those of us who can't watch the video?
There's going to be a mode patched into the game next year that's going to be used for educational purposes to teach people about Ancient Egypt.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite....that's awesome.
I mean, seriously. The games in general have always been surprisingly educational, but they've always been hampered by the fact that the story is more important than teaching about history, so stuff gets changed. But if there's a mode that is actually historically accurate, we might be looking at a new era of education for adult gamers. Right now, edutainment games are marketed at kids, so no one else ever plays them.
(Fun fact: My spellcheck recognizes "edutainment" but not "gamers.")
I have always loved how educational the AC games are.
This series has my definitive portrayal of historical figures.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Assassin's Creed combines my former love for history and my newfound interest in stealth games.
Edit: I have a serious question. Does anybody like the Isu as a concept in the ASC universe?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. The Isu are okay as long as they don't consume the entire narrative, but stay in the background as history. I'm a bit iffy about Juno's role.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleThe Isu are almost about as baked into the narrative as the Animus itself, so I don't think it would feel right without them being involved in some fashion.
But aside from that, here's the UbiBlog post on Discovery Mode
“This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, that we’ve been asked to do by teachers, by institutions,” says Jean Guesdon, creative director for Assassin’s Creed Origins. “Discovery Tour is another way to enjoy the beauty of the world we’ve recreated. It’s a more educative mode, so it’s clearly focused on education and on bringing to people actual facts, more academic knowledge.”
Separate from the main game, Discovery Tour annotates the game world with dozens of interactive tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. Each focuses on a different subject, including the Great Pyramids, the life of Cleopatra, mummification, and more. Additionally, Discovery Tour lets players roam the entire game world without constraints or threats, exploring a sprawling landscape that includes Memphis, Alexandria, the Sand Sea, and the Giza Plateau at their own pace.
Does anybody remember that line from Conner in Assassins's Creed III? That line that somebody, somewhere thought was really clever?
"I fight for a notion, not a nation."
I would like to see a story where either the Assassins or the Templars or even both fight for a nation.
Perhaps a time period like the Risorgimento or the Unification of Germany would be appropriate for such a story.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I really hope this is good. I don't think anything I've ever seen, game, film, book, or whenever, has ever taken place during the last days of the Ptolemaic Dynasty.
Was it confirmed that were getting a new modern day protagonist?
Cause I have been hearing some stuff about there being a new modern protagonist.
I believe were all rooting for this to succeed.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."They SHOULD have a new modern protagonist. Preferably female. The main plot has gone nowhere ever since we lost Desmond.
Blame the segment of the fandom that just want to stab people throughout history for that...
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I heard that there was a Russian woman that people seem to like who is fairly new. Galina Voronina, correct?
I think she could do.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Only thing I heard was that the new MC is mixed race.
Then they didn't realize that the modern-day helps keep the past story & overall game important. Unity & Syndicate feel like unimportant side-stories as a result of having no modern-day MC.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Bismarck was rather heavy-set towards the later years of his life so I'm picturing this fat old man leaping across rooftops.
In any case, I view Bismarck more as a neutral party at any rate. He might be too ruthless to be an Assassin.
