I don't think any of the marks in II were grey. They were pretty firmly in it for themselves.
Well, Dante Moro wasn't really evil at all, but the others were all black.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Dante was a special case, yeah. But he was part of a double mark, with someone who was evil.
In my eyes, Rodrigo Borgia was the only black character. He was only in it for power.
So were the others. They just didn't realize the full extent of it, nor that Rodrigo would gladly stab each of them in the back through the throat for it.
But would you agree that Rodrigo was the most evil?

Maybe equal with Cesare.
Incest is such a quick way to make someone a villain, isn't it?
It's not over. Not yet.Cesare was too pathetic though. I would say that the only character that can match Rodrigo is Majd Addin.
Rodrigo was the most evil because he led the others to believe that he intended to share the power with them, when meant to do no such thing. The others are only better on the grounds that they had a loyalty to him.
Others really believed in the Templar cause though. Rodrigo's intention was purely power.
Now that I think of it, I think Cesare might've had good motives... just... so incredibly twisted by crazy. I think he did want to unify people, but he was just so violent and didn't care about the individual people.
But I don't know. :/
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryNo, I really don't think they did. Part of II's theme was how far the Templars have strayed from their original goal in the 300 years between Altair and Ezio.
Yes, but Prince Ahmet really did believe in it.
I'm only talking about the marks in II.
Okay. So, I think Borgia is the one who corrupted them all though.
And I am really interested who will be the main villain in number 3? I hope that maybe King George III.

No, the database is pretty clear that they're just terrible people.
Maybe Marco Barbarigo. He was pretty much raping Dante's wife, and none of it was related to his duties as a Templar. Orsi Brothers seemed also like a nasty piece of work.
The entire Pazzi and Barbarigo clans were pretty evil, even without Borgia's help.
Yeah I agree. Uberto was not a nice guy either. And again, who do you think will be the main villain in the third game?
I believe it's implied that Uberto was being threatened by the Pazzi. Still a dick, though.
And I'm not sure. Probably not King George III. I anticipate that Connor's loyalties will be different by the end of the game, and you'll mostly be fighting the Colonists.
That said, I think the final boss might be done in the real world anyway.
I just want Lafayette to be a French Assassin.
And for George Washington to be more than an Assassin/Templar.
It's not over. Not yet.I hope that we will finally be fighting Vidic and maybe also his boss with whom he exchanged those emails.
I kind of want Washington to be uninvolved with the Templar/Assassin war, even though I know he will be.
Really can't see the Templars as truly gray. "Templars are always quick to talk of peace, but slow to concede power" sums up reason for it ultimately. Not all Templars are purely evil, but we've often seen what they consider the proper ways about bringing peace are.
Washington had a Piece of Eden. Going to be pretty impossible to see that desire happen.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.
Both are grey, but Templars are darker grey. Rodrigo Borgia and Majd Addin are the only black characters.
