Mass Effect / Sonic crossover

OK, to anyone who is familiar with both of these series...how do you think such an idea could be done?

I mean, if people can crossover Mass Effect with My Little Pony...certainly this one should be well within the realms of possibility too.

Anyone?

OK, perhaps to get the ball rolling, should Sonic complement Commander Shephard or BE Commander Shephard, maybe Commander Sonic?

I have no idea as I have a TV trope-only familiarity with Mass Effect and am not exactly a connoisseur of fanfiction, but if it helps I’m putting in my 1$ and ten cents. For one, standard fanfic/crossover pitfalls apply.

If you're sending sonic into space, I think you would have to cross over with Sonic Colors, as a matter of course. Maybe wisp powers could be a form of biotic?

I would prefer that Sonic would work with his own crew or become merged with shepard rather than allying with Shepard, but that is just me, as in my opinion I don’t think an Everyman Antihero/Paragon like shepard can be involve in a story without being awkward.

If you’re going to merge sonic and Shepard, which I recommend I recommend merging other characters similarly. If the character was originally an alien, I think giveing some of their alien traits to the mobian they are fused with would be good. Personally, I think a krogan/shadow composite would somehow be hilarious, and you could merge your personal Scrappies in both series so you can paint a picture of how soul-taintinly bad you think they are.

As for plot motivation, maybe Commander Sonic and his crew could be sent by the citadel on an exploratory mission in order to find the wisp planet so they can study how the wisps generate energy? Or maybe the classic hunt-the-emeralds-so-we-can-kill-Eggman plot. Maybe his Normandy equivalent could be powered by a chaos emerald?

Also, if Commander Sonic is at similar power-levels to his own series, rather than to Mass Effect, I demand a scene where he uses a mass-relay without a ship via spindashing.

I was thinking something more along the lines of making mobians a seperate race of aliens among others in the Mass Effect universe and maybe just have Sonic and co interact with the crew of Normandy and later the Normandy SR-2.

That works too.
