If I'm not guessing this wrong, the same change was brought about between vanilla Akuma and Shin Akuma. Shin Akuma is what you would call a further-evil empowered version of him, where the character on his back would be replaced by 'metsu' , which means annihilation.
If I'm not guessing this wrong, Evil Ryu adopted 'annihilation' as well
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...I think I read somewhere that Evil Ryu's kanji means destruction or something similiar.
Not far off. 'metsu' as a character comes from Chinese character 'mie' which means 'to extinguish, destroy or terminate'. The magic behind this character is that it can be used as both a verb and a noun. Either way it means Termination, Annihilation or Destruction

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeI apologize, I´ve been looking for it, but only found one of Oni. If I remember correctly, the kanji isn´t the same than for Evil Ryu :(
Suffer not the witch to live.
Ok, so Ryu has become Oni Ryu, dang

At LAST I found a video with it. The quality is very bad, but at second 13 you can see part of that symbol :) If I find something else, I´ll let you know :D
Suffer not the witch to live. It's really annoying, the left half of the kanji is masked by the opponent and the halo.
Because of this, I can't give you a 100% sure answer on this video alone. But it may be the kanji 伐 : if that's the case, then this kanji would translate as "to strike down", "to punish". I'd love to have samples showing the left half of the kanji before calling it, though.

When Evil Ryu finishes a round by making the ultra combo, the kanji that appears is different from the "heaven" kanji that appears after akuma´s ultra. Does anyone know what does that kanji mean?
