Split: Battlestar Galactica

Right now, both the original series and the reimagining use the same page, with the later being wedged after the original's trope list. We should split them and give each their own page.

Edit: The Character page has the same problem.

I thought we did this already? Didn't we decide on Battlestar Galactica Reimagined or some such for the new series?

Also, I think we should move them both to the Series namespace and make the main a disambiguation so people coming in can head to the right page.

I think a split is a good idea.

I would like to see Original BSG and Nu BSG have their own pages. Galactica 1980 can be part of the Original BSG page, but split into a separate folder.

So would the current page be used for disambig or original?

I'd say disambig. That way, people can find what they want.

I also support the aforementioned split; one reason being that, since most tropes for the series on this Wiki are referring to the re-imaged series, having the original take up a fair chunk of the top of the page just leads to needless scrolling for most fans. Not to mention it makes the page layout look a bit gaudy.

The crowner seems to indicate a desire for a hard split with the main as disambig.

On my PC, the current page is 48 screens long, so I'm all in favour of anything that makes it less unwieldy.

Alright, consensus (yeas:23 nays:2, 11.50:1) is to make Main.Battlestar Galactica a disambig page. I'll attach an alt-title crowner.

Okay, I added six options, three for titles for the original, three for the new one. We can pick our favorite versions.

Should go by the years, personally.

I prefer the titles, since I don't know many people that keep track of it beyond 200X. That said, it's not like we can't make the losers redirects. If anyone else has suggestions, adding them would be great.

I am...somewhat bemused, but not terribly surprised, that we don't appear to have a trope list for Galactica 1980.

So it looks like Battlestar Galactica Reimagined and Battlestar Galactica Classic are the winners.

Shall we just have the titles display like that, or use the customizer to make them show up as Battlestar Galactica (Classic)?
