Me to, but mostly because Rainbow is going to be a Magical Lesbian Spawn if it fucking kills me.
I mean, I figured out a way to deal with Flutter Brutter and make an excuse to still make Fluttershy a Magical Gay Spawn, but I can't pull that excuse off twice, it will start to look contrived.

Speaking of, I also gave Rainbow a line in The Crystal Ball where she says that being around AJ is what she imagines having a sister must be like, so if season seven gives her siblings, I'm going to cry.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.At least one of the Main 6 has to be an only child.
It was initially said that Dash didn't have a Sweetie/AB equivalent because Faust felt she would have been a bad sister. And to be fair, in S1 she definitely would have been. But Scoots does fill in as a surrogate sister there.
And Fluttershy, kinda, if they weren't bumping uglies

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. This week's Royal Canterlot Library feature is one I've been recommending for a while: The Perfect Little Village of Ponyville.
Happy April Fool's day erryone, jumping in to gasp for air from how hectic shit's been.
The first chapter of "Surprise Party" is drafted. I'm a little embarrassed because it's a bit shorter than my usual, but I'm not one to add filler just to pad out the length.
Also, unlike the previous entries into this continuity, this one's rated T because in addition to the shift in narrative focus to Rainbow Dash, the story focuses on a setup that's a lot more physical than the one Twijack have.
In short, it's rated T because there is sex in this story, but my hard rule about never actually writing a sex scene remains intact. "Surprise Party" is about the fallout from a relationship turning unexpectedly physical and the effects it has on the characters involved.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Oh my god, I could see Pinkie Pie just having a fun roll in the hay with a friend and not realizing she fucked them up by punching their v-card and pretending like it ain't no thing.
Haven't finished yet, but I'm speculating she doesn't even know she popped RD's proverbial cherry and when she finds out she will be holding something made of glass and then she will not be and then it will be a pile of debris made of glass.
^.^ There was actually a different story I was going to put in this slot, because I wanted some kind of Breather Episode between The Crystal Ball and Twilight's alicorn ascension to give Twilight and AJ some time to be drama-free and likable. That one wound up getting shifted a bit further down the slate when this one's idea struck me, both because putting it further down gels better with the story in my opinion and also because this one had to take place in the aftermath of The Crystal Ball in order to opportunize on that story's setup.
Where The Crystal Ball left these characters is meant to flow pretty seamlessly into where Surprise Party picks them up.

Considered title: "Monkeying Around"
Left you a few notes. I really liked the villain's tsundere moment about Sun Wukong leaving before he could be tempted.
Chapter 1 of Surprise Party is now waiting for approval. I'll update when it's live.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Phew, the new draft's a little short and a little late, though this time not for lack of inspiration. No, this time is was my own foolery. Lesson learned: after getting an eye lasered, it is not going to be twice as hard to write, but twenty times as hard. >.>

Why'd you call it that anyway, Tobias?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. The title will make sense by the final chapter. It gets discussed in the story.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.First chapter of Surprise Party is now live.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Frig, I keep starting on fic chapters just to get something out of the way quickly and end up wanting to binge the whole thing. Just finished Project Sunflower: Harmony, and like the original it was a lot more enjoyable than I expected. A Hairier Problem: Rise of the Furball was bingeworthy too, though being able to move on to Seven Days in Sunny June after this helps.
Surriously tho, hopefully now I can stop staying up late for this for a while.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty. This morning, my insomnia-addled brain thought up a Friendship is Magic fanfic so crazily brilliant, I refuse to believe it hasn't been done. Allow me to share a Plot Bunny.
Y'all know those "Human in Equestria" fanfics? Well, this is one of those... With a twist!
Basically, a guy wakes up in a field in Equestria. He has no idea how he got there, but after staggering around and seeing the sights, concludes that he must be tripping balls. Soon enough, Twilight and Spike arrive, having heard that a new type of creature has appeared. Both the guy and Twilight identify one another as "a weird-looking pony."
Anyway, this guy wants to go home because he's got shit to do, all right?! Where he comes from, he's kind of a big deal. But no matter what he tries, he can't seem to find his way back. Some time later, tired and hungry, he has no choice but to do odd jobs around Equestria in exchange for food and shelter. This is stuff like helping Applejack at the ranch, helping Rarity at her shop, and so on. He spends time with all the Mane Six.
Over time, the guy starts opening up to them. He can't believe how happy and harmonious everyone is—where he comes from, it's nothing but phonies, crazies, backstabbers, and enablers, he says. And though he tries to keep it all inside, it genuinely hurts him that he just can't seem to keep his friends. His life is bereft of the magic of friendship, and he's terribly lonely. He drinks and does drugs to numb the pain.
So the ponies help him. They remind him of important childhood lessons he seems to have forgotten, about compassion, forgiveness, the works. And wouldn't you know it, this guy almost starts to like Equestria! He starts to think of the ponies as real friends. (And he changes his theory—he's not tripping balls, he's stumbled into a colony of naked hippies / irradiated mutants.)
After a while he goes, "Fuck it. I'm much happier here than I ever was back home." He announces his plan to stay in Equestria, the rest of the world be damned. The ponies are delighted to hear this, and formally welcome him to their ranks. He might even be due to get his cutie mark the next day or something, and he's hella excited about it.
The next morning, for no reason, the guy wakes up back in his house in Los Angeles.
For some time, he's even more depressed and antisocial than usual. But he can't stop thinking about Equestria and all the positive emotions he experienced there. After an evening of soul-searching, he decides to go back out into the world, and try to fix as many of his interpersonal relationships as he can.
It is revealed at this point that—in case you haven't figured it out—this human in Equestria isn't a human at all, but, in fact, BoJack Horseman.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Well, on one hand I can confirm that that particular idea has not been done before, on the other hand why hasn't it been done before?!
Reading through that, I was expecting him to turn out to be some kind of equine from the human world rather than an actual human - didn't see it being Bojack, specifically - but it's still a clever twist.
Also, wanted to share a bit of irony from a scene that's probably going to end on the cutting room floor because of recent developments. For one of the stories I have on my slate to come along down the road in my Single Point continuity, the premise is Twilight attending her first Apple reunion - but having to do so as an alicorn princess, with all the effect on how people treat her that entails.
One of the earliest scenes I devised for that had Rainbow Dash realizing that AJ, Twilight, and Pinkie are all going to this reunion and remarking that Applejack's family is like a ravenous blob monster. "Three years from now, are we ALL going to be Apples?"
To which AJ would snappily retort, "Well, I do got a brother, if you're interested."
Cut to a few weeks later and I'm writing a story that ships Rainbow with Pinkie. Irony's funny sometimes.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Finally read the first chapter, Tobias. I'll be posting my review of it on this thread by...the end of this month.
Look, I work VERY slowly, alright?! I'm busy and I want to be sure I'm doing it right!
Edit: Never mind, I'm just gonna read the second chapter and THEN do the review.
Gonna be honest here, Tobias. My first impression is that the overall pace seems a bit...fast. And, weirdly enough, it seems like one or two of the events in it were events I had already read before from other works. Except for the bowling, I haven't read that before. I didn't know Ponyville had a bowling alley. I would have liked more setup in getting AJ and Twi together. Maybe not start off with AJ already having romantic feelings but try setting up AJ getting romantic feelings. It just feels like you've just jumped the gun. All in all...I hope you got better, both in this story and in your future stories.
Now, that ain't the final word. I just read it a few minutes ago so I didn't say all the above with the authority of my reviewer hat yet. I want to reread it as much as I need to to get a good review. Just giving my cursory impression of it.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. From Dusk to Night's new chapter is live.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiIs that a Tarantino story?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The first chapter's pace is a bit fast. The first chapter and much of the second were originally intended to be more of a prologue that wound up running long. Looking back, I probably would have done well to make Single Point of Failure the second story on the slate and devised a first story that would focus on the characters getting together in the first place, but ultimately I was more interested in the conflicts that emerged from them being in a relationship than getting into one.
"I have feelings, what do I do?" is a plot that I feel has been done to death in shipfics.
Still, I can't help but feel like I wasted a perfectly good plot regarding Twilight's experiment. While it remains an active plot element through the end of Single Point and drives the conflict, I do feel like there was more potential for storytelling back in the early stages that went untapped. I may one day do an Interquel to further explore Twilight's scientific approach to dating.
EDIT: In fact, funny story, pretty much the entire first date between Twilight and Applejack was delegated to a brief summary in the original draft. All of that got expanded on and developed based on the feedback that the chapter was rushing a little too quickly through establishing the relationship.

They dead. AJ actually has a bit of exposition in The Crystal Ball where she encourages Twilight to open up to her by opening up herself and telling the story of who her parents were and what became of them, which will also be important to another story I'm going to be writing down the road.
Regrettably, season seven is almost certain to Joss the whole damn thing, so I'm going to need to add my second note to "Like canon unless noted".
