I ended up accidentally flanderizing one of my characters. I was thinking of just somehow dragging my mind back to how I saw that character when I started writing the story, but the problem is, I can't remember what her personality was supposed to be. So what do I do?

She's one of the two protagonists of the story. A day in the limelight just won't cut it. I have to somehow "fix" her.

Read your earliest writings on that character, and pick out traits you forgot about later, so you can add them back in.

Or just forget about her pre-Flanderized personality and give her Hidden Depths by adding something completely new.

If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.

If she's that non-distinctive, you might just replace her with a new character that fills the same role and start from scratch.

Flanderization.

Anyway, Ettina and others have already given the best possible advice.
