Okay I want to take a whack at the "Lost in space far from home" story. So a race of Sufficiently Advanced Aliens watch some Earth tv and decide to make a real space opera, with a Voyager style plot. So they plant and create numerous civalizations of humans around the universe, some a bit altered. They also create an ultra advanced starship and kidnap some humans between the ages of twelve and twenty two to pilot it. They assign them them roles such as Captain, Medic, Engineer, Pilot, Security Officer and Cook. The "crew" are told they have to amuse the civalization through adventuring in order to be allowed to return home. Sound cool? The ship's AI is a bit like AM in that he constantly screws over the characters to entertain himself and his masters.

It seems very Galaxy Quest-ish, just with a parody of a different Star Trek series.

It's kind of a horror story.

So bacsicly it's like Stargate but instead of glactic domination the Goa'uld want a reality show?
