Just asking, have you seen The Lion King 1 1/2?
Does anyone know where I can find that one Gumby movie?
Nope. Saw commercials for it, and thought the premise and potential for Ret Cons made it unappealing.
I remember there being "Gumby: The Movie" on VHS. Came in a clamshell case. It used to be quite common.
visit my blog!Er, no reply about the Saban Peter Pan.
Jason Marsden as the title character!??! Yeah, he's a regular at Disney now...
Yeah, Jason Kreis ain't exactly a soccer star.Last I've checked, there was an upload of the Gumby movie on You Tube. Not sure if it's still there.
I kind of wish The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat would get a DVD release of some sort. I really liked that show. It payed homage to the wacky 30's toons of yesteryear. There are some episodes floating around, but I'd like to have the series in my collection.
Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Magical Do Ri Me(yes I only saw the dub and fell in love with it, and this is anime, but I'm mentioning it anyway). For ones I never actually saw but want to: My World, Spliced, The Brothers Flub, all the Video Brinquedo movies.

G.B.M., the Brothers Flub is available on DVD... in Turkey. But don't worry, it's got English audio and subtitles.

Yeah, Jason Kreis ain't exactly a soccer star.the first seasons of Tiny Toons and Animaniacs are on DVD too.
visit my blog!I can't get a DVD of these because of my parents. If I can't find something on tv, You Tube or veoh I can't watch it.
Your parents won't let you buy DV Ds?
visit my blog! It's shown quite a lot down here on KidsCo
http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpCool. That's really surprising for a 13-year-old, 13-episode wonder.
ETA: You guys still get Neds Newt too? Awesome.

To Andarb: you can get the entirety of Thundarr the Barbarian from The Warner Archives, and pretty much only from there. It has no special features (not even the "making of Thundarr" documentary that was included on their "Best of Saturday Morning TV: The '80's" dvd) and is mislabeled as a "Hanna Barbera Classic" (it was from Ruby Spears) but it's out there.
Re: Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates. I really liked this one when it first aired, though I do have to admit the episodes vary greatly in both animation and story quality (oh my God, do they). The best are animated by Tokyo Movie Shinsa, and the worst are so bad they don't even bear mentioning. However, when it was good, it was very, very good (The Rake, The Ages of Pan, etc, etc).
I can buy DV Ds, but I rarely get to go to the store anymore. And I don't want to ask for a DVD that has to be bought online for a show my mom's never heard of.
Tiny Toons and Animaniacs should both be available at real stores. I know I always see them.
But they're like a million times cheaper online. Amazon wants like $10-$15 per volume. The last time I saw Tiny Toons in store, it went for $37. No wonder more people shop online.

visit my blog! The Dreamstone may be worth mentioning, it's a very bitter sweet show (super funny villains vs boring sugar coated heroes) but that means at least half of each episode has high entertainment value. So far I think only half of the series is available on Youtube, and only six episodes have been released on DVD so far.
I remember Ned's Newt used to be on past midnight on Cartoon Network not long ago. Still worth staying up to watch.

Ned's Newt was on CN? I don't remember that...
It was on Cartoon Network in Latin America. I think the spanish name was "El lagartijo de Ned".
BTW, I've got the show on VHS. The original Paramount release. Found it at Walgreens for $5 in 2009. The episode where Ned tells his cousin, "Look, it's Pamela Anderson!"

Yeah, Jason Kreis ain't exactly a soccer star.Canadian fans might be lucky; Ned's Newt is currently playing on Teletoon Retro.
The Complete Neds Newt is available on a torrent
http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpI found a couple Ned's Newt tapes at Dollar General when it first opened. I'll have to check that torrent.
The only torrents i found for Spliced weren't moving at all.
Teletoon Retro???:). That's their Cartoon Network. They are so lucky!
Oh sorry, I meant Cartoon Network/Boomerang in the UK, which still uses some cherished retro toons like Looney Tunes and the old Hanna Barbara stuff that I hear US fans frequently complain isn't aired anymore.
I wonder where, for the life of me, you can find those pre-school Cartoon Network shows Big Bag and Small World. Yeah, nobody cared.
I've got a cruddy Boomerang-to-DVD recording of a 60s Hanna Barbera cartoon "Wally Gator".

Yeah, Jason Kreis ain't exactly a soccer star.
I think just about everyone whose seen it prefer's Fox's Peter Pan over Disney's.
I mean, don't get me wrong, Disney's Peter Pan was a fine movie, and resulted in the only Disney sequel that was actually worth watching (Return to Neverland). But I mean, Fox's version made the Lost Boys and the Pirates into actual characters instead of just background, made Captain Hook actually interesting instead of just a goofy one-note villain, made Neverland a place you'd actually want to visit, and just... it took everything to the next level. It also had the best theme music of all time. It's sad that a cartoon that great has basically been swept under the rug all these years, even though the live-action movie from not long ago and the highly acclaimed trilogy of Young Adult novels (Peter Pan in Scarlet, Peter and the Starchasers, Peter and the Shadow Thieves I think is what they were called) created the perfect atmosphere for a DVD release. The only reason it didn't happen was because Disney somehow owns the show.
Though, there is hope. I regularly visit TV Shows on DVD and lately, a lot of obscure 90s cartoons are getting DVD releases. King Arthur and the Knights of Justice came earlier this year, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego: The Complete Series is coming out later this year (after having already had a failed release from Shout Factory), Skeleton Warriors and Wing Commander Academy—both shows I doubt anybody remembers—are both getting complete series sets, Warner is finally completing Silver Hawks, and so on and so forth. Also Disney has licensed out shows before (they somehow owned the 80s Dungeons & Dragons cartoon too, and now that's available on DVD three times over). So who knows?
Here's hoping and praying.
