The All-Purpose 2814 Fanfiction Thread

Damn it. Do you have any idea how long it'll take to get all the pieces of my mind off this ceiling after you blow it like that?

We should start getting the raws of the new chapter soon... I'm deeply hoping that Mirou's UBW is going to have a star-filled sky, for various symbolism - the 'star' representing hope, the persistent star motif in Prisma Illya, most obviously the starry sky that Miyu made her wish under that was his 'moment of decision', setting up a sort of sliding scale of sky-time and heroic idealism (with FSN!Shirou's afternoon sky, EMIYA's smoggy evening sky, and Mirou's night sky)... I also hope he gets a unique chant to activate it.

That will require Kuro to have a noon sky just to balance it out!

Oh, I could see her as a dusky evening sky, or just before dawn, or something like that... That's if she can use UBW in its full capacity, though - her mindset isn't nearly as broken as Shirou's is, all things considered.

Actually, i just realized canon-Shiro and Kuro both share their respective universe's Kiritsugu's dream. Except in the Prismaverse, his dream is 'screw it, I'm going to save my family', as shown by the fact they live in a small house rather than a huge mansion.

Also, more tidbit on Mirou and Gil: In Fate Zero, while Gilagmesh's default attitude on everyone else is basically "condescending", he was practically fatherly on his assessment on Dark Grail/ Angra Mainyu. Also, the one who effectively curbstomp him in Heaven's Feel? Dark Sakura.

Meh, my takeaway from Gil is this: In FSN, he gets curbed stomped by a magus with Archer powers. In Prisma, shota Gil is harisenned by a loli magus with Archer powers.

I want 2814 Shirou and Mirou to do a fusion dance via simultaneous UBW. There's no reason it should work but darnit Miyu's Onii-chan is the hero these worlds need.

That, or in a twist Archer who went back for the Grail War was actually Mirou and Illya's version never becomes quite that badass. Archer's final troll to his "past self" in 2814.

(on a separate note, Angelica and Mirou have a great dynamic. I'm looking forward to how you write her, SCM, assuming you don't just kill her off or something.)

...neither Mirou or Illya's older brother are EMIYA, why would you think that in the future they'd become him? Neither of them have the type of personality to make the contract or the right backstory.

Also I HOPE Shirou and Mirou never fuse, they both need to work out their issues and Miyu needs to have her actual brother around, not someone who is half him. Besides, we already know simultaneous UBW doesn't do any fusion dance things.

In this series the Archer of the fifth war was a Shirou who became a true heroic spirit instead of a counter guardian.

That seems like a pretty unlikely end point for Miyu's brother as well.

Dude, I was talking about SCM's 2814, not canon. I specified that like twice. Canon never allows for such happy endings.

SCM's version of events had the Archer of the 5th war as Shirou from the (far) future along with some friends present to screw around with events. It all played out in a pretty outrageous fashion hence why I suggested silly shit.

Although I guess having two Shirou characters around to work on their issues would prime opportunity for comedy.

Yeaahhh, and again, Miyu's brother ending up as a heroic spirit seems pretty unlikely. Unless he's gone through a completely different backstory that make him barely the same person as the canon one, in which case, yeah I guess? Not sure what the point is in that case...

The implication on whether or not he was a heroic spirit or not (IN 2814) was vague, at least to me. The main point of interest was that he, along with Hayate and Bruce, used the grail war for time travel shenanigans while Chao was off doing her own thing.

The idea is that it was Miyu's brother, not Illya's, that went back for that grail war, which would imply that normal Shirou never gets that snarky.

As a metacomment, should the Miyuverse be The End of the Marvel Ultimate universe, and the reason it's so messed up is because every hero is a jerkass and Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are the MOST normal people there (and not just in Kuro's opinion)?

I don't know, the fact that Archer was making references to having a relationship with two different versions of Saber and pulled off a Sailor Moon styled speech while doing a Tuxedo Mask impersonation suggests (to me at least), that he wasn't a counter guardian, or at least didn't have any regrets about becoming one.

wait I thought the Ultimate versions of the Maximoff siblings were in a relationship...

Oh yeah, and that'd make Kiritsugu's goal of saving the world interesting there too!

Given what happens regularly to 2814, 'saving the world' is less of a lofty goal and more of a monthly requirement you need to fulfill. To be fair to Kiri, he made up his goal back when Superman wasn't public knowledge yet and Batman was still secret.

Well, in the Miyuverse the world still might need saving if every hero acts like a jerkass? Idk.

The only reason the world is still worth saving is Spiderman. Spiderman makes everything better.

He died. He died along with my interest in the Ultimate universe.

Every other hero (not the villains, even) slowly eroded my desire to experience that universe.

And then he died. Granted, he got into Valhalla, but still.

...if Miyuverse is the Ultimate Marvel universe in your story, SCM, then I hope it does end.

I could still make it worse. The Miyuverse could be a Twilight/Harry Potter/Naruto crossover universe

At that point I think Mirou's plan to save Miyu and doom the world might be the morally correct choice...
