In Islam tradition, though, Solomon (or Sulayman) is straight-up one of the most respected prophet (and king too, I guess). His gift is that he is, basically, omniglot in all things. He can speak birds, insects, horses, wind, earth, djinn, everything. He also never, ever, dabbles in anything close to heresy, including the whole Ars Goetia thing. He collect all of them, and seal them under his throne, and basically setting the whole thing as Schmuck Bait (all who try to retrieves it basically got burned by fire), basically because he doesn't want anyone to learn it.
The New 52 version, aside from being a bit of a jerk, calls himself Shazam. Mybe because for some reason they can't call him Captain Marvel anymore?
Marvel Comics pretty much locked down Captain Marvel as a series title, so any book the DC character appeared in couldn't be called 'Captain Marvel.' I guess DC just got tired of working around that.
Yuri fanfiction writer! http://www.fanfiction.net/~shanejayell...So I Am Not Shazam needs a new title, huh.
Exist, pursued by bearBasically the thing with the "Captain Marvel" issue is since Captain Marvel DC originally was created in 1940 by Fawcett comics but due to copyright issues in 1953 from DC Comics the character will not reappear until 1991 under the name Shazam since Marvel registered the name Captain Marvel in 1967
Not quite. National Comics (the name DC had back then) sued Fawcett in about the similarities between Captain Marvel and Superman. Fawcett won the lawsuit, but years later they stopped publishing Captain Marvel because of teh general downturn of the superhero comics market, by that time only Batman Superman and Wonder Woman remained in publication.
Jump to the late 60s, and Marvel started to publish their own Captain Marvel. in 1972 DC bought a license from Fawcett to publish several of their characters, the Marvels included, and they bought the Marvels fair and square in 1991. But due to the Marvel trademark the could never call teh comic 'Captain Marvel'..
You know, I officially don't like Prisma Ilya anymore.
There's a place for the kind of story that is going on there now, but it shouldn't be in Prisma Ilya.
Yeah, Miyu's belated backstory is pretty dark.
It's not really Miyu's backstory at this point, it's Shirou's. And I'm still liking this weird crossover between Heaven's Feel and Angel Notes. Though I do think it could have stood on its own as a separate manga or something...
Exist, pursued by bearYes, but for it to work, you need character sympathy from the start. Shiro... is hard to be sympathetic for without Saber around him.

Well, this Shirou has Miyu. It's a different sort of relationship but still.
Exist, pursued by bearExactly. Without a girl to relate with, Shiro just looks suicidally moronic.
I think even with a girl Shirou looks suicidally moronic. Because he generally is.
Exist, pursued by bearYes, but he looks like he's being nobly suicidally moronic for a reason, as opposed to looking self-destructively suicidally moronic when he's alone.
Well, he still has a reason, see: saving Miyu. And it doesn't seem like he's been especially stupid - trying out different methods to break the barrier, in his conversation with Sakura, subsequent Shinji fight...
Exist, pursued by bearExactly. If Miyu wasn't there, if they were fighting about an abstract like 'an all powerful wish', he'd just look stupid.
Also, I hate Chimaera's. They're too powerful.
Well, yes, most plots are stupid if you take away someone's driving motivation. If the ring didn't exist then most of the main characters in Lord of the Rings would look pretty stupid.
Exist, pursued by bearAFAIK, if Shiro never got involved in this Grail War thingies, he probably end up as some nice milquetoast with his most prominent feature being " The Guy Who Won't Say No". Not exactly the greatest could happen to him, but for guy like him, it's not really bad.
If this was ever explained to Kuro (and Illya), she'd scream, since she'd realize she'd have been this close to getting her brother to do her. He can't say 'no', after all...
That's debatable, though. Especially since he... acquitanted with this... Shinji, so his view on thing that obsessed with boning women (and, sadly, boning in general) generally will be a bit... more chivalric than normal. That will depend on how much Illya and Kuro basically willing to go to make him abandon his... chivalric worldview and embrace being Eros' target practice.
Appeal on his chivalric nature will work best, but that means their first wouldn't be dear onii-chan, I'm afraid.

They learn Archer's Identity, Shirou manages to kill the other masters, including Julian's father who installed Saber.
This has the potential to get very bad.
What the fuck
Well... Considering Sakura is still the main character, it will probably at least not be as bad as a la mode... maybe?
Huh? I thought Tsubasa WAS the CCS sequel?
As Wise Rulers go, I prefer his dad. At least he recognized when what he did is bad. Once, you know, God subtly sends a messenger to point it out to him instead of going into a river in Egypt.
