Well a lot of Gecko Ending animes I dont like. Soul Eater and Negima come to mind. I'm hoping for another cour

I think the hurdle to get another cour is gonna be a bit steeper than usual for this series, since, as I mentioned a while back, another series by the same person is getting an anime which will be running concurrently with this.

Depends on the sales probably. It's got the most preorders out of any anime this season so far. But those rankings are not reliable till like the 5th episode.

I just dont want them to beat 6 kings super quickly.

It always depends on the sales. That, or if it's being commissioned by the publisher of the original work.

That said, we won't know the sales numbers until a week after volume 1 hits shelves. Preorder numbers aren't too great an indicator.

@ Negima anime: Did not know that. At least it didn't, because it would ahve turned into another Bleach-ish episode for me.

Well, I guess we just have to wait and see right now. Maybe it should just go cliffhanger and if it doesn't get another cour there's always OVA hope, right?

I'm not seeing Accel World doing great if it comes down to a Dueling Shows thing, since Sword Art Online looks really interesting...

Well how long does that usually take? If they want to implement another cour, than it would be probably necessary to gauge it's popularity by preorders and tv views.

Oh man, that's true. I like Accel World but Sword Art is more to my tastes.

Let's be honest with ourselves, even Bakuman is split into 25-episode seasons, and the uber-popular Monogatari novels are simply getting another 26-episode season somewhere down the line rather than choosing to extend the Nisemonogatari anime with content from other novels in the series.

Yeah but doesnt this have a more elaborate plot? 6 kings. Haru just became level 2 in the manga, hime is level 9. I dont know how they are going to solve this thing and am scared of a terrible gecko ending. Or maybe it wont be bad.

I did a comparison of SAO and Accel World a few pages back. Note: Very light spoilers for both series.

And I would not be too sure of SAO being in direct conflict over time. SAO is a series of different stories (2 Light Novels per story... at most) while AW looks like a more typical long-running shonen (One plot line that spans the series).

SAO annoys me because of how sueish the protagonist becomes over time. The first volume is very good after that though he really starts to annoy me.

That is probably why he is redused to a "sage of wisdom" and support roll in the latter books (that have been translated).

In fact, I sort of wish we saw GGO from only the girl's perspective.

Does he? I couldn't make it past the second big story arc.

Really I think the anime should make the season out of the first two volumes in a semi chronological fashion building up to the climax of the first volume. Really build up the admin Big Bad and the relationship thing.

On a different topic, how would people feal if I tried to shorten the page desciption for AW? It has a TON of First 3-4 episodes spoilers right now. As the pothole indicates, I do believe most of them are nessisary to describe the plot, but...

Maybe you can just make another for the anime? Trope pages are meant to contain spoilers after all if the series had another adaptation.

I believe I've shot down the idea of just splitting the page for the sake of it, either in this thread or another one, but recently.

The early spoilers are necessary to know what it's about. Leave it and deal with it.

As the person who originally wrote most of it, I agree with you. I was just thinking that parts of it are probably unnecessary/a little overblown (like the details of the tech).

Save yourself the trouble and give up on trimming it.

If I may partially go off-topic for a moment, I've been trying, lately, to write up a blurb for the story of my indie game project Turtles all the Way: A Shell Game to describe it to potential customers. The problem is that its entire premise is a massive spoiler for the entire game. I eventually had to give up and summarize it as if the game started 1/3 of the way in, so I essentially had to spoil the first third of the game with impunity to have any hope at all of describing it properly.

Accel World has a similar, although a far less extreme version of that issue. I could tell almost immediately, when it didn't explain everything until after spending a short while setting up.

Burnpsy, my guess, already trimmed it, so IMO the trope page is as bare as it gets. Most of it are just up to Volume 2 of the LN since 1 and 2 are fully translated.

Meh. My original entries have been re-written several times already. Only a few remains original.

I like Accel World better than Sword Art Online for some of the reasons EHK stated. I also saw this 4chan thread (specifically the one where haru is in different armor and fighting the green king and the OP picture), a lot of pictures from the L Ns. God I wish they were translated more.

Found where I got the idea that the collars were implants from. The trope page. Question is though where did the info that only 15 year olds and under can use it come from?

The manga. The technology has only been around for 15 years or so, and to use Accel you have to have had the thing implanted since birth pretty much so 15 years old or younger.
