This is a thread to discuss anything related to the Mortal Kombat franchise. Yes, I know there is already an Mortal Kombat 9 thread but this thread is for ANY Mortal Kombat related media, not just Mortal Kombat 9. By the way, who is your favorite fighter? Mine has to be Stryker.

Zebron is the best fighter, anybody who picks somebody besides Zebron is a hipster who is just trying to be different and weird

[up][up][up] It isn't an official thread, to be fair.

Eh, I have yet to play a game that has dissapointed me overall. ...I haven't played Special Forces or Gold yet, though.(or Deadly Alliance, but I hold much higher hope for it) Armageddon was mediocre, though, mostly because of the bland fatalities, and the Story Mode wasn't nearly as good as the Deception's.

Here's the trailer in case no one wants to actually go to You Tube for it:

Apparently Mortal Kombat fans take umbrage at rap music being used in the trailer. tongue

Eh, honestly, the rap's not any less fitting than the techno associated with the series back in the day. What's got me puzzled is how Sub-Zero is human and alive, after his cyborgification and death in the previous game. Then again, the trailer was about gameplay, not story. That said, I'm happy that X-Rays are returning, and the interactive stage elements are going to be a neat addition.

Somehow, I won't be surprised if competitive players flip out at the thought of interactive environments and turn them off like they did with Injustice.

Well, characters being revived is nothing new for Mortal Kombat.

It could also be a completely different Sub-Zero again, though I don't think there's anyone left to take up the mantle.

Edit: Here's a thought: outside of it being a sign of not learning his lesson, what's to stop The Raiden of Mortal Kombat 9 from trying time travel again.

This time, he's not half dead, so he can make the messages more clear, and let his past self know exactly what to do much sooner, while letting him know what things to avoid. After that, all Raiden has to do is let things play out somewhat, while keeping his guys safe, and making sure Liu Kang doesn't lose complete faith (most importantly, not wasting time talking to the Elder Gods) in him.

There's a chance MK 9!Raiden doesn't know how to send a message from the future. We still don't know how Armageddon!Raiden learned of this ability; it may have been something he picked up during his short time as an Elder God, which is something MK 9!Raiden hasn't experienced yet, if he'll experience it at all.
