Misreporting does happen
New theme music also a boxI've seen a few articles on Official Disney facebook pages reporting the same thing, so its true.
It must be true for you read it on the internet!
Seriously,I hope it's a case of multiple people reporting it wrong
New theme music also a boxThere is a picture floating around of all of the princess VAs standing on-stage with Sarah Silverman in front of a Wreck-It Ralph 2 logo.
This song needs more love.Dude, its an official Disney Facebook Page. Like, run by Disney themselves. Why would they link to and article that misreports nonsense of their own highly publicized event?
Pulled that from their Wreck-It Ralph page. I'm not sure what more would be needed save seeing the actual trailer itself.
Abandoning the video game aspect in flavor of this internet stuff is starting to feel like a huge mistep
I await the eventual trailer

The video has some footage covered from a cellphone showing the title.
Its not trading video games for internet, but more 'Online Video Gaming' and the transition being that a lot of old (arcade) games are getting new life on cell phone apps. And that's probably a pretty decent transition between the two ideas.
If they treat the Disney Princesses as they did the video game cameos, they'll do fine.
I don't quite know. A patch is possibly what they're referring to, but it might not be called a patch by name.
Similar to how the original film used a lot of game concepts, but didn't refer to them by terminology. Or kept that terminology to a minimum. Like how Vanellope acted like Dummied Out content hidden in the game code before the plot twist happened.
Or it could be that, like Ralph leaving his game, entering another game, and taking that game's content to another game, the region that content could be taken to isn't restricted to the arcade (thus making it easier to find and return) but now there's a possibility of accidentally sending part of their game into the internet.
Sure, internet doesn't work that way, but neither did the arcade the first time around.

Love the idea of the characters sneaking into a smartphone when it's connected to an outlet via the cable charger. I just hope they don't abandon the retro aspect from the first movie and have only recent-style internet game characters and environments. Arcades need more appreciation, and part of the charm of the first movie was that it was timeless, it really made me remember that I loved the old games.
I hope they never bump into Gene.
What if, after the main Disney princesses reject her, Vanellope falls in with a "bad crowd" consisting of Eilonwy and Kida, who wear ripped jeans and dye their hair black. And they hatch a scheme to get back at the preps. And they turn C3PO into a toilet paper mummy.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I dunno, I think that would just cheese a lot of people off, especially in Kida's case. (I personally wouldn't like it anyway.)
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Gene, the Meh emoji from The Emoji Movie. They get into the internet through a smartphone. I actually forgot about Gene. Until you had to remind me of him. :D
You know, there are places online where you can play classic 8-bit games for free. ;)
Oh, all I know about The Emoji Movie is from the window stickers I saw, where apparently the only emotion they can express is the Dreamworks Face.
holy cow. She actually looks nine with that makeup on
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWe're getting a trailer for the sequel tomorrow!
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I can't wait!
It's about time we got a trailer for it. I can't wait to see what happens!
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."I don't know if this is a popular opinion or not, but I think the princess crossover scene sounds like a terrible idea. It sounds like cheap lazy pandering, and the princesses sound like they'll be horribly OOC. This kind of thing would be more suited for a fan comic or fanfic, not an official Disney Animated Canon film.
Not helping matters is that the classic 2D characters are being rendered in CG, which shows just how little respect Disney shows for its roots. Imagine how awesome it would've been to see 2D-animated characters interacting with CG characters? I don't care how good they'll look in the final film, it's an insulting slap in the face to 2D fans like myself.
I'm dreading the teaser tomorrow.
Sounds like the kind of thing that's only insulting if you choose to feel insulted by it.
I would love it if they manage to translate every single outline from the princess' respective 2D movies into CGI form here. Like, they even have to MOVE as fluidly as they did. Disney has proved with Tangled that they can translate classic Disney style extremely well.
How could it be a rumor if it was confirmed in a D23 presentation?
