I agree. I think that having real life examples for this trope just invites bashing.

As it stands, it looks a bit like people simply complaining about plans that aren't completely explained. Even if the reaction is justified, I think it would be best for the page to confine it to examples that were intended by the writers rather than plans that don't make sense to the viewer.
