Partly this is because people who are prepared to indulge in disproportionate amounts of hate for (e.g.) a cartoon series may well cause trouble in other ways, as soon as they find something/someone else to hate disproportionately. Gushers are at worst silly and embarrassing. Haters can be working out deeper problems, which we don't need.

You are not the only one who has noted the complete lack of negative commentary on fan works, particularly fanfic pages. However I went out and decided to do something about it, i.e. going out, reading the work, and writing a review.

I think I've written one completely positive review or recommendation for a fanwork on this wiki.(Obvious edit: I take it back, there are two.) One out of five of my comments gives qualified praise (I even noted problems with EVA fan darling Nobody Dies in this fashion), and the other four crap all over the work while pointing to what it's done wrong.

Nobody's complained to me yet.

So don't start forum topics. Get out there and do something about it.

Good for you? That's great and all but going around bragging about it is not.

Forgive me for offering commentary on the nature of the moral panic about unrestrained lack of criticism as completely false via personal anecdote. I shall never do so again.

Or in simpler terms, I'm not bragging, and I don't think the OP had any real concept of how the wiki handles this. He just looked around and saw a lack of bitching and assumed "terrible plot".

And also, if you spot a problem, you should probably try to fix it. This is something that the wiki is in rather desperate need of more of.
