There will likely be something lost in the port (draw distance, loading times). Something has to go when you quarter the RAM from the minimum requirements.

Haven't followed that and they treated it like it was something totally new. They have an odd concept of "a brand new project" - yes, before the revealing at the conference they said the first announcement would be that.

Just heard from people watching their conference [1].
The announcement of a console W2 makes me laugh a bit since many "hardcore" PC gamers prided on it being an exclusive, which will be not anymore. At least by working on it only after the PC version is released, they may ensure also the port makes the besto of the 360 and the controls are adapted well.
So the managed to get EA on GOG (after a long year of talks, they say) and among the first titles we will see Privateer and Ultima Underworld 1+2. Unfortunately my hopes about System Shock 1 & 2 were swiftly crushed since they are NOT included in the deal, and Syndicate too as far as I understood. They say this may change in the future (I'd really like to know what's EA problem with theose titles) but in the meantime... :(
