In the saga of Erik the Red, Lief Eriksson's brother Thorstein sets sail before him to find adventure, but is driven off course and supposedly wandered the Atlantic for a year. However, it was actually Lief that went out first and was lost in the Atlantic, where he was frozen. Years later, in WW 2, British ships in the north Atlantic pull up an unusual slab of ice, which is taken to a secret location. It is only years later after the war when the British use uncovered Nazi tech to thaw out the body and revive it. They spend years teaching a revived Lief modern English, customs, and music. Lief takes a liking with the guitar and soon sets out to explore Britian. Along his travels, he teaches the Beatles how to play, Recommends the Rolling Stones to do that one gig, and gives Jimmy Page the idea to form the New Yardbirds. After his band, The Vikings fails, he serves as an uncredited co-producer for bands such as Kansas, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen. He died in 1985 from revival sickness.
