I was like: "Wow, they're not relying on jump-scares so much. I guess this might be-"

Then it went past the halfway point and I gave up on it.

Question: Has Carpenter done anything worthwhile since In The Mouth Of Madness?

Regardless of quality and Carpenter's less than stellar track record as of late, people will probably still watch it, because it's John Carpenter.

... And Amber Heard.

So this became available on VOD today. Anybody give it a look?

I watched this film yesterday. It seemed pretty lame from the start. There seemed to be many plotholes and I was having a hard time believing Kristen, Sarah and Iris(? I can't remember her name) were mentally disordered. Then the scary parts came and I was disappointed again. There was too much shock horror for my taste. And there were some plotholes again. But! The twist at the end cured everything for me. I don't recall being stunned this much from a movie. I guess it will be better than you expect.

I heard the twist was identical to the one from Identity.

The whole 'haunted asylum' thing has really been done to death too.
