Isn't Acid a spinoff game? It is shame that Konami cannot get the writers of the Acid games and have them make the sequels. They may not be as 'wacky' and ambitious as Kojima bu at least they can make a decent Metal Gear.

I mean. I'm sorta surprised they never tried to clone the Boss and/or Ocelot. Or clone the Boss using Ocelot's X Chromosome he got from her. She's got other chromosomes, but. Like, you can be 100% sure he got that one from her.

Can you clone someone based on mitochondrial chromosomes alone?

I mean, the mitochondria are technically sorta separate organisms with their own dna, so. You could probably clone the mitochondria.
...You could technically take any stem cells Ocelot's still got, and convert them into egg cells to make sure that any clones that get made from those egg cells have the Boss's mitochondria. Who knows, it's the powerhouse of the cell, maybe that was why she was so badass. Worth a shot.

Cloning doesn't work that way. The chromosome Ocelot got from the Boss is only half her DNA. They'd need a full sample. Do you want a half-formed The Boss?

And. It's not like genes in this series work the way they do in real life. Or did any you count all of Ocelot's genes yourself?

Half the Patriot projects seem to only make sense at the time because it was the 60s/70s and everyone was high as shit.
Like. In the Metal Gear verse they apparently identified "soldier genes" or some horseshit. One thing I'd try is basically shoot an embryo up with those and see what happens.
Compare Ocelot's DNA with Big Boss's and see if there's any new "soldier genes" in Ocelot's, because he probably got those from the Boss.
