I know this would be a hard trope to illustrate, and the picture just put on there doesn't really show it.

I don't really see how that's Rule of Cool aside from the light, but yeah, i'm fine with pulling this image off this page.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.

Amid comic fan circles, the classic Heroic Spirit moment has always been when Spider-Man lifted tons of debris off his body -far more than he supposedly could- so he could arrive in time to save Aunt May's life. [1] Classic Stan Lee prose included! wink

The Spiderman pic works, though I'd also like to suggest a Super Sentai example, the final battle of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, the picture of the Shinkengers beaten up, their cockpit torn to shreds, but as they're raising their sword for the final strike. Here's the video, maybe someone else can get the pic because I honestly can't myself for various reasons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-NijbsAlt4

It's clear they've suffered an awesome amount of punishment but are still continuing to fight.

Two things.
1)I would need a time-stamp cause I am way to lazy to watch the entire thing.
2) 360p Is pretty shitty to pull a pic from You Tube.

Will the Spidey pic work when resized, though, that's the question...

Some major cropping and resizing renders this; if it works, the text in the chopped balloon can be whited out.

Also, for the record, there's a bukkake joke just screaming to be made here.

Spider-Man learns of the erogenous zone of the robot that is trying to sit on him.

This is the last time Spider-Man saves a collapsing sperm bank.

I like your edit.

Here's the time I was thinking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-NijbsAlt4&feature=player_detailpage#t=364s Since you asked. I could find a higher quality video though.

Another vote for the webhead. First speech bubble could work as page quote too, if it can't be read in picture form.
