Good that Finnish isn't part of Scandinavia
Not that I'm buying this game xD
In this month.
I've been interested in finding out if this one is actually a good fighting game or just fan service, but I guess you guys can answer xD
*reads the article* Figure mode? Oh yeah, this game is fan service after all -_- Still, would be interested to know whether its good or not.

Wait, Ayane and Kasumi are still underaged? Are you telling me all four Dead or alives, both ninja gaidens, the two beach volleyballs and any other spinoffs all happened within the span of a year?
And what the hell? Child pornography? What? There's no children! There's no pornography! It doesn't even... ANGERASM! ARGH! TCAH! GRR! PRET! GORN! FARGH!
From what I've heard, it is a good fighting game as well. So this is a shame...
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Figure mode can be used for sexual situations, apparently (dunno how fanservicey it is, but I highly doubt that was the intention of it). Also, Sweden minimum porn age is 17 (Kasumi, Koroke and Ayane are 16). Still pretty stupid how it's been banned in Norway and Denmark under a Swedish law. Shouldn't even have been banned in the first place. Bah, I'm changing my avatar. For those who read this after I change, it was Scandinavia And The World's Sweden.
But isn't it "Kokoro", not "Koroke"? In any case, why didn't Team Ninja just go with the "Age: N/A" they do here?
I'm sure if the same argument was pointed out to the agencies here in the USA as was pointed out in Sweden, it wouldn't make it to shelves here either. I don't know what the specific rules are, but there's a grey area in the law regarding this, which has been sliding rapidly towards this sort of decision.
It sounds like it's potentially punishing the game for what it lets people do, rather than what it's actually designed to do, but I don't know one way or another, here. DoA never made much sense to me.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Bizarre, it hasn't been blocked for Canada, which has equally stupid "law" * for the "protection" of fictional characters.
Oh well. Perhaps this news will generate the publicity needed to get the Sweeds to grab their pitch forks and make their government fix that stupid law (Or, more likely given how lazy people are in general, embarrass the law makers so they fix it so as not to become the laughing stock of the world)?

For those who haven't read the article: the person who initially pointed out that the game violated child pornography laws was trying to argue that the laws were ridiculous and needed to be changed. The distributor thought "Oh dear, we musn't violate any laws!" and pulled out without a fight. (In fairness, a manga translator recently got in major trouble for distributing loli porn, so they had a bad precedent going for them.)

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulApparently, even the cops disagreed with the law.

Couldn't they just change the characters' ages in the manual or wherever it's written?
Nobody banned it, the publisher just took off without a fight for fear of controversy.

This of coarse isn't the fist time something like this happened. I don't know what animators have against women 18 and over. That would solve so many problems.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThere are plenty of women in dead or alive that are 18 and over. But since there's one or two that aren't, everything goes to pot despite the fact that they literally look exactly the same from the neck down.

I'd say from the forehead down. What a shame, it's a good series.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.I'm sorry, Northwesterners. This is a darn shame. You can always import, I'm sure. Pretty much every gamer in the world should be an importer of some sort by now. Definitely don't let something like this get in the way of playing fighting games.
Dead or Alive isn't exactly my most favourite fighting game series, or anywhere close. But it's still a shame to see it not brought over here. Admittedly, the Do A series could use to sexualize it's girls a little less. But that doesn't mean that this is justified.
On a side note, why in the heck are the ladies still 16? Let them grow up already!
Genkidama for Japan, even if you don't have money, you can help![1]Look, those girls are not under 18. Just canonically say they're 21 and just avoid the issue. Saying they're 16 just does two things:
- Gives wacking material for pervs
- Invites this sort of accusation
There's zero reason for a 16 year old to have 38DD boobs on a 5'3" frame anyway.
Jonah FalconI'm definitely importing!

Apparently, it's because it possibly violates child pornography rules in Sweden. And the Scandinavian distributor is Bergsala, a Swedish company I think.
