Can we see the shot? If it shows both a person clearly on the wrong side of a barrier and the key on the other side, it could work.
So...this trope is basically locking your keys in your car/house/whatever?
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things. That's the most simple interpretation, but yes.

Bump...maybe a pic of a car with the keys in the ignition and the driver outside looking in?
How about this one?
Belief or disbelief rests with you.
I like that one.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSeconding the car keys image.
That's good. Maybe someday someone will find a better one, but let's go with that for now.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it."...Crap."
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it."Not again!"
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.That's exactly what I was thinking of. "Not again!" would work great for a caption.
That's cool.

Get a slant at this glossary of Pulp Detective terms. It rates. Pipe that?I was going to do the one about a convertible, but decided it's too long.
Fight smart, not fair. What about the scene from The Simpsons Movie where Professor Fink's drill that can get them out of the dome is outside the dome?
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Meh, I see no reason to do any more digging on this. "...crap." or "Not again!" for the caption?

Man, this needed to be wrapped up a long time back. The pic and "Not again!" are up and tagged; locking up.
One picture i wanted to add was an image of Peter Griffin whining because he's trapped in the car because he locked his keys out of the car (an inverted example, but it could still work for laughs).
Anybody have a better idea?
