Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3

Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

But yeah, cool. [tup]

But yeah, I get the feeling I'm basically going to spend the next three years practically living in the library.

I tried going to the town library once.

1. Their hours are ridiculously restrictive. Only 3 days a week are they still open by the time I get off work.

2. I tried to get a library card and they were really wierd about it when I tried to sign up. They insisted I give a phone number of someone I knew who lived in the area. I guess they thought I might leave town one day and take their books with me.

Maybe if I tried now since I've lived here for almost 8 years they'd be less stupid. Or maybe I'll be on some kind of terrorist "no read" watchlist.

That's stupidly restrictive. All I need is a name and a residential address here, which they verify via the Home Office or passport/driving licence.

If you're a babbu, then they just go off your parents' word.

The one time I wanted to get a library card as an adult, they just wanted proof of residency, and a piece of mail with my name and local address would do.

Jesus where I am it takes about 30 seconds to get a card. I think it requires a single piece of ID and that's not necessarily a photo one. Hell I think I know several people who live out of the city but commute in regularly and still can get a card (although I do believe our system is province wide).

Ah, yeah. I grew up in Manitoba, and a family of mennonites came into town at least once a week to get more books.

I live near La Grande Biblioteque(Lit. The Big Library) in montreal right now, and it's never been closed when I've been there. They have three or four service lines so it takes a couple of minutes to get an ID, and it's free, you just need ID and I think proof of address? It's always relatively busy, and when they say big they mean it - like five floors divided by sections. Kids books, computers and archives, nonfiction, more nonfiction, and fiction and literature. It's pretty crazy.

He is alright. Settling into a new apartment.

And not getting enough sleep. It's funny, I stopped working out because I was sacrificing sleep to get up and do it, but I think I'm now not tiring myself out enough to sleep easily. I think I need to start doing some quick morning exercises, if nothing else.

I just need proof of address too, to get the card, well at first they just took my parents word and gave me a kid card despite the fact I was 17 (the kid card despite being 17), and I didn't get it updated until I was like 20. though the library closes on Monday, they know me though I volunteer there, I did close reading (when you check to see the books are in the right spot, if it's one out of place you get it to the desk, unless it's the kid's section in which case you move it unless it's like the authors name is Mc Clean and it's in the 'q's or something, because the library desk would be ridiculously crowded if you brought in every book out of place in the kid's section), I only did do fiction, the dewy-decimal system is lost on me. No there was no point to this anecdote, other then if you volunteer you get extended time to bring your books back, which I didn't mention until now.

Kind of curious now how attraction to the same sex would work with dom aspects. I'm not like a masochist, but a little ordered around and subservient would be nice. Granted I've never been a part of that kind of relationship though I'd prefer too, and might help with confidence.

That really depends on what types you like.

I for example have a tendency to go for Lipstick Lesbians, which means I end up with totally girly sorts and I get to be a pouty sort while she's acting all giggly.

Admittedly this is far as I can get, but that's just one example.

It doesn't have to be a gendered thing. Nor does it need to be symmetrical. You may find you like to be dominated by one and not the other. Or you might like to switch with one and dom the other. Or any combination you can think of.

@Rachel. Awww, sounds sweet.

Hmm, could be the case that it could change. But I've got massive confidence problems, so I don't think it's in me to dominate.
