Holy hell, the description got real long since I saw this last. The video thing either needs its own page, or is getting shunted into trivia.
Fight smart, not fair. The image that comes to mind for me is the Firefly example, of Mal rushing into the battle yelling "WOOOOOOOO COME AND GET ME" while firing an assault rifle into the air. Or is that not general enough?
Its fine. It is the Leeroy Jenkins and even if you don't understand the text immediately, you will when you read the page, it basically describes how to deal with a Leeroy Jenkins.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI think the trope might need a rewrite, it's getting used in other mediums, but it's written like person you run into in a MMORPG, which aren't tropes.
Fight smart, not fair. What about Jenkins from Mass Effect? He runs into the fray and gets pummeled with energy blasts?
The image is fine. It's better than 90% of images elsewhere on this wiki.
Hyperbole much?
Yes, but it's still the Trope Namer, and unless we do a multipane, which I so despise, or get a Trope of the Week video, there's not much else we can do to represent the idea of the trope.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Then pull it. Being a Trope Namer is not a valid reason to keep a bad pic. Never was.
This pic only works thanks to the card-text — and it's still not really clear (btw., what is ferocity in this game?).
What comes to mind for me at least is that scene in Star Wars where Han charges screaming at a few stormtroopers. Particularly the look on his face when he skids to a halt as he reaches a room full of them.
Maybe, maybe not, just putting it out there.
Bump. I'm not convinced current pic warrants a pull, but I wouldn't mind finding a better one.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things. If we're not supposed to use memes as examples, shouldn't we be getting rid of meme-centric trope names?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThat's a TRS discussion, I think.

Pic really doesn't demonstrate the trope.
I think this should first be split for the meme and the trope, as there is some clear confusion.
But I don't know if the TRS backlog is clear yet.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I doubt it is.
Then I think unless we can use this thread as a trope repair, we should wait to make a proper TRS thread to split, and then find a good picture.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I tend to agree.
Keep. The image on the card alone goes a ways to illustrate the image.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope. There's all ready a TRS open to split the meme and the trope. Please help wrap it up.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLink, please.

Without the trading card text, it's Just A Face And A Caption. Even with the text, it's more confusing than demonstrative.
We could do better. Perhaps a comic or series of screenshots showing a leader attempting to give out orders while a subordinate rushes in or something similar.
I suggest panels 2 & 4 of this: http://cadaska.deviantart.com/art/APH-French-Swiss-history-1-202286968
