Fujimura-kun Mates

The title makes it sound like a hentai doujinshi, but it's actually an incredibly random and pretty funny manga about a delinquent absentee who gets dragged kicked and screaming back to school by a crazy class representative just to find out that the rest of the school is apparently equally insane.

Anyways, I enjoyed it and haven't seen it mentioned here before so I thought I'd share.

I thought this would be about Taiga Fujimura when I saw the title. (I figure she'd fit in nicely with the class though.)

Some of the leaps of logic in this thing are... Impressive.

Well...I admit that there is something heartwarming about Eri in the early chapters...Though recently she slipped more into the classic stalker/doormat role...

Still at the end of the day it's just a Japanese comedy/harem series, not that much that stands out...

Chapter 17 has the greatest Rescue Romance twist ever.

Did anyone else like former-delinquent girl when she was still a delinquent? She looked cool back then. Now she's just a generic cute girl. Also, I was wondering how that would work in the harem.

By the way, that other girl (the one running away from delinquent girl) looks a lot like Kanon.

I prefer Eri, myself. But all three girls are awesome, so Harem is best.

Also, I think Chapter 17 was one of the funniest chapters so far. I really did not expect that.

It's finally back!.. and Himuro would have made a great addition to the harem..

I do read this, but it's gotta be one of the most generic series I've ever seen.

I think it's part of the joke. Not a very good joke, but still a joke. Maybe a little more lampshading here and there would make it more funny.

I'll concede this to be true if the mangaka at some point lampshades Fujiwara's tsundere tendencies.

Relatedly, this manga is unique to me for one thing: A male tsundere main protagonist. It just doesn't do enough to play with that idea.

The main thing that attracted me to this comic was how absolutely shameless it is. There's no joke so cheap or absurd that the author won't put it in. Oh no, we didn't have a joke on the last page? Time to introduce a character who wears a helmet for no reason / drop some dude down a shaft / drop the entire student body down a shaft! There's a sort of humor to following just how far he can push Chandler's Law.
