Never read Discworld, but i'm quite familiar with Gintama.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.

For half a year now, the idea's been plaguing me, and while I enjoy chuckling at all the cracky ideas...
There's more to both series than just crack. I'm stumped for ideas for serious plots, which is probably not aided by the fact that I've only read half the books for the Discworld series (The story's set in Discworld, with the cast of Gintama as leads, and cameos by the cartload).
Basically, this topic's a call to all those who know and enjoy both series.
