Re: My Little Pony: The Movie - "I Can Go It Alone" was alright I guess, but actually I've already more or less forgotten most of it. For me, it doesn't really have that same Ear Worm feel as "Nothing Can Stop the Smooze."
Speaking of this movie, can anyone explain what the deal was with the human characters? Why were they even there? Like I said, my attention sort of drifted in and out, but it seemed like every so often I would look and there was another one of them, for, as Douglas Adams would say, no adequately explored reason.
If I remember correctly, Molly and Danny are Megan's younger siblings, so that's the reason they're part of the story. As for others, I think that it was that there are also humans living in Ponyland/Dream Valley along with the ponies and bushwoolies and witches and all of the other characters introduced in the various episodes. And the characters from the fairy tale land were humans because that's what they were in their original stories.
Megan and Molly were toy characters. I don't know about Danny, but he and Molly were her siblings.

The Protomen enhanced my life.
It does give a bit more "Ooo and Ahh". The lively manes give the characters some weight. In G1 their manes were often quite short, and besides color they were similar in style. It lacked movement, but I guess not animating it gave the animators more focus on the body.
- goes to watch G3 Pinkie Dance* lol
Sometimes they were animated well in song segments, like Baby Cuddles' in "Nature's In Harmony."
The Protomen enhanced my life. Thanks for the info about the human characters - that clears that up then. Well, now that I've seen that movie, guess I should watch the next one when I have the chance - I think it's The End of Flutter Valley?
Sounds good ^^ Some people don't like that special, but I do. it was written by the same guy who wrote the movie, and has a bit more development for Draggle.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I love the Flutter Ponies.
I guess G3's version is the Breezie Ponies?
So now it makes that review of Promenade by Obscurus Lupa a bit odd.
She seems to favor G1, so I'm just wondering...

Don't we all?
If anyone else has the same handle, send a message to yourself. I'll see if I can change my name if needed. Some G2 ponies had clip-on wings, including some unicorns, and Wingsong had manta-ray like wings in a comic ^^
The Protomen enhanced my life.
I should look more into G2. I've seen plenty of G1 and G3 stuff (and, of course, G4), but I've always sort of skipped over G2. Also, who's Wingsong?
If anyone else has the same handle, send a message to yourself. I'll see if I can change my name if needed.I like to think of Breezies as representative of all the "fourth wheel" pony species that had been tried: Flutter Ponies, Sea Ponies, Petite Ponies, what have you.
An Earth Pony in the toys but a pegasus in the comics. G2 had no animated adaptation, though in the UK it got an annual and some comics. It also had a video game.
Don't forget the Windy Wing Ponies!

The Protomen enhanced my life.Wasn't G2 extremely short and had no cartoon? What happened with that generation anyways, did people just not like the toy designs or something? Wrong time, wrong marketing?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!It was short in the US, but was a lot more popular in Europe.
The Protomen enhanced my life. This looks promising. This is a new text review series for My Little Pony G1 cartoon episodes.
Cool! :) I've seen recaps on the Dream Valley page, but not reviews.
The Protomen enhanced my life. There were 65 episodes in all? Wow, that's quite a time commitment. I guess I'll sort of dip into that one and see whether or not I want to keep watching based on what I see...
I'd go for watching the Glass Princess, Fugitive Flowers, or the Return of Tambelon if you're looking for adventure stuff.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I don't really have a preference in that regard, but would you say the adventure stuff is generally the best when it comes to that series?
it's what it's mostly remembered for, though the slice of life episodes weren't bad.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Right, most of the one-parters are about what the ponies do when they're not in grave danger for once.
I'm most interested to see how he handles that behemoth known as "The End of Flutter Valley".
Something to keep in mind when watching that is that it was serialized; while repetitions of the plot can get irritating watching it all at once, it was meant to be seen once weekly.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Especially so in the earlier videos; check out that thing Skywishes does where she throws back her mane. Is that one of the reasons "Dancing in the Clouds" seems more... loverly than you might expect from a children's series?
